Okay so nobody really talked about it because the lore drop of who the aura farming villains of the opening. But like...everybody but 'Fire''s partner were all pretty easy to guess if you sre in the know about digimon.

I think everyone is confused because the last partner is just...vaguely large. I was think Volcamon or Asuramon but we just can't tell.

Also I have a theory about the Five Stars. I think Kyo was originally the metal star but got dethroned by the Gold Star. Given how Murasamemon is named after a sword and design wise fits with Metal are my reasons. Gold probably used Seiten Gokuwmon to defeat Kyo and change the title to gold given Seiten Gokuwmon's aura.

And the reason why Gold sent Gokuwmon to delete Hyemon and take the Sapotama ties into it.

Gold dethroned Kyo because Kyo was dating Asuka and was JEALOUS. And so to try to impress him Gold desided to take his place as a Star. But Kyo just left, taking up a ragtag group of other gay youths. And so when Gold got word that Asuka got frozen, he went to make sure Kyo never got his man back again.

Digimon is once again using toxic yaoi for its plot.

The Five Stars & The Wuxing

This isn't a theory, more so an explanation as to what the specifications of what the Chinese Elements are.

As the show and the fans have pointed out, the 5 Stars are based on the Chinese Elements of Wood, Fire, Earth, Gold (Metal) and Water.

These Elements are called the Wuxing (The Five Phases).

A fivefold conceptual scheme used in many traditional Chinese fields of study to explain a wide array of phenomena, including terrestrial and celestial relationships, influences, and cycles, that characterise the interactions and relationships within science, medicine, politics, religion and social relationships and education within Chinese culture.

Each of these elements have Cycling relationships with each other, divided into Generative / Destructive and Forward / Reverse meanings.

Inter-promoting The generative cycle is: Wood feeds Fire as fuel Fire produces Earth (ash, lava) Earth bears Metal (geological processes produce minerals) Metal collects, filters and purifies Water (water vapor condenses on metal, for example) Water nourishes Wood (water leads to growth of flowers, plants and other changes in nature)

Inter-regulating The destructive cycle is: Wood grasps (or stabilizes) Earth (roots of trees can prevent soil erosion) Earth contains (or directs) Water (dams or river banks) Water dampens (or regulates) Fire Fire melts (or refines or shapes) Metal Metal chops (or carves) Wood

Overacting The excessive destructive cycle is: Wood depletes Earth (depletion of nutrients in soil, over-farming, overcultivation) Earth obstructs Water (over-damming) Water extinguishes Fire Fire melts Metal (affecting its integrity) Metal makes Wood rigid to easily snap.

Weakening The reverse generative cycle is: Wood depletes Water Water rusts Metal Metal impoverishes Earth (erosion, destructive mining of minerals) Earth smothers Fire Fire burns Wood (forest fires)

Counteracting A reverse or deficient destructive cycle is: Wood dulls Metal Metal de-energizes Fire (conducting heat away) Fire evaporates Water Water muddies (or destabilizes) Earth Earth rots Wood (buried wood rots)

How these five will interact with our heroes / each other members is still unknown. But we can at least start framing a basic framework of their dynamics.

As for their Digimon, We know Gokuwmon is one of them. Since Gold (Metal) has associated with Electricity in some JRPGs (Megami Tensei, E.g.), we can assume Gokuwmon is Gold's Digimon.

Some have speculating that Kyo was once a former Star (like Gold). Personally, I believe he was once the Water Star before leaving and being replaced the blue girl.

One, Kyo's blue coloring, cliche I know. Two, all of Murasamemon's techniques have Rain in their trsnslated names and mentions of its victims being subject to thunderous rainfall in their final moments after being struck by Tsui-no-zan: Kokuu.

Three: In Chinese philosophy, water is one of the five concepts that conform the wuxing. It is the low point of matter, and is considered matter's dying or hiding stage. Among the five elements, water is the old yin symbol of the yinyang character. Its motion is downward and inward, and its energy is stillness and conserving. Water is associated with the color black

Some Tinfoil Hat Predictions (Minor Spoilers)

So Episode 21's dropped, and I think it was really good, did good things for Granit, and I'm going to rewatch it a bunch later... But that's not important right now! Even if Ludomon continues to still be GOATed. No, I am going to make some tinfoil hat predictions about the show's direction! Tagged for minor spoilers regarding what we know about Episode 22 - it'll all be below the cut.

So, Episode 22! We know it's going to be another Makoto and Hotaruko episode, where they're stuck fighting the Star of Water (Validating a friend's take that the order we see the Stars in the OP is the order they'll meet the Glowing Dawn in-show). I'm not going to make any direct calls on what, exactly, is going to happen in it - maybe Hotaruko will hit Perfect, maybe Makoto will, maybe neither will. It doesn't matter, what happens happens and it'll continue to be good. What I'm concerned with is Episode 23 and onwards. Firstly, I think Episode 23 is going to be another Raito episode. More specifically, I think it's going to be the climax of his current character arc. If I'm going to predict anything, it's that he'll apologize to Monodramon, probably in a mirror to the scene Tomoro and Gekkomon had in Episode 12. I'm somewhat confident in that it'll lead to Raito (probably alongside Tomoro) vs Naito, with Raito properly synchronizing with Monodramon in order to defeat him for good. Naito will then probably be taken out by Klay, somehow, once he's worthless - Klay has that air to him. Episode 24 will likely be the finale of the Tactics arc. I'm, expecting it to be the Glowing Dawn + Team Seven vs. Klay and Proganomon. I won't even try to call the beat-for-beat, but I will say that I expect to see ArmaLizamon Super Evolve then into their Perfect Stage in order to overcome Proganomon. Klay is 100% going down at the end of the arc, to set the stage for the next arc. And now, for tinfoil hat theory zone. I am predicting that ArmaLizamon's Perfect is going to be Earth themed - probably retaining some traits of ArmaLizamon, mostly in the spindash. But why Earth themed, you may ask?

Well, Klay's going down, right? And the Five Stars probably need a Star of each element, right? And if Tomoro's the one to take down Klay, that'll mean he's probably at least near Five Star tier, right?

I think the World Union - specifically Genjou, though possibly with other people - will try to recruit Tomoro as the next Star of Earth. Now, he definitely won't take it immediately, 'cause Kyo will be uttewrly against it, but.

We know, thanks to the DCG, Murasamemon's gonna get his L6 before the BEatbreak Starter Deck drops in April (IDK when). And the World Union will absolutely pressure Tomoro into that way, somehow. So I wouldn't be shocked if some of this pressure gets significantly violent - violent to the point Kyo and Murasamemon break past Perfect to Ultimate... and then get removed from play. Either via Kyo getting Cold Hearted, or what... I won't predict it specifically. But Kyo, right now, is a pretty big safety net. And if he was taken out, maybe Tomoro would find himself actually taking the offer - especially if Asuka's e-Pulse is dangled in front of him...
