Lisa + Laurel “What do you mean I’m too pretty to be into girls?”
Laurel isn’t one to hang out with known criminals, she met Lisa Snart when visiting her sister on the waverider and Lisa so happened to be visiting her brother at the same time. Laurel didn’t intend to interact with either Snart sibling, honestly.
But her and Sara’s visit got interrupted by some time traveler business, and even though Laurel told Sara that she’d be more than happy to help with whatever it is, Sara insisted that she stay on the waverider. (Later Laurel would learn that the “time traveler business” was actually Ava asking for her to come to the time bureau because Gary misplaced some important time artifact and Ava needed her help.)
So Laurel was waiting on the waverider in one of the lounge areas when Lisa Start decided to sit down in the arm chair next to Laurel.
“You’re Laurel, aren’t you?” Lisa asked, one eyebrow arching slightly over the other.
Laurel looked up from the article she was reading on her phone. “As far as I’m aware, yes.”
“Lisa Snart,” Lisa said, flashing a smile, “I’ve heard a lot about you.”
Laurel gave her a confused look.
“From Cisco, although I have to say, I thought he was exaggerating when he said you were ‘a literal angel’, but now I have to admit that’s no exaggeration.”
Laurel felt herself blushing, “Uh, I'm not- I don’t-”
“Relax, I get it,” Lisa said, interrupting Laurel with a wave, “you’re too pretty to like girls.”
Laurel has experienced literal whiplash before but she was pretty sure it paled in comparison to this. “What? I’m sorry, back up, what do you mean I’m ‘too pretty to like girls’? That logically makes no sense.”
Lisa held her hands up in mock surrender. “That usually makes the straight girls I hit on feel better.”
“See your first problem is that that line implies being straight makes you more attractive than those who aren’t straight, which it doesn’t.” Laurel leaned closer to Lisa. “And your second problem is that I’m not straight.”
Lisa’s eyes sparkled. “Oh that’s the opposite of what I consider a problem.”
