remembering another situation from like a year ago when another old friend reached out for the first time in several years. and i was talking it over with my now-ex and she was like "you don't seem particularly happy to hear from him" and i said "no, not really" and she said "so don't talk to him". and i didn't and it was definitely the right choice

i'd like to preface this by saying character/song associations are not my strong suit (i could never make a character playlist 😔), so for all i know this may be total nonsense. but anyway! the (shipped) gold standard by fall out boy feels like a very tobias song to me. again, it might be a reach, but it's got some lyrics that make me think of tobias ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (disloyal order of the water buffalos from the same album gold standard is from also has some very tobias lines, but that one feels like a bit more of a reach)
