i started thinking about the cut raz and maligula lines that dataminers found, as one does, and i started to Wonder about something. that plot point about gristol wanting raz's brain for something that was introduced in rhombus of ruin but dropped in 2? what if that and the cut raz and maligula lines had something to do with each other? i'm probably way off, but i can't stop thinking about it.

recently i was browsing serebii at random, and i found out that ever since gen 5, lucario has had heal pulse as a level up move (except for in legends arceus), and i couldn't help but imagine nia wanting to learn it after she evolves. perfect for seeker duties, both in terms of "helpful for injured clients" and "my partner is very danger-prone"! lucario can also learn life dew starting with swsh, which has the added benefit of "actually, both of us are danger-prone and this move can heal both of our asses".
Oh, I forgot about lucario learning heal pulse! That is right up Nia's alley for sure. :D And definitely helpful with these two danger-prone disasters, hahaha!!!
the illustration for the latest chapter reminded me that tobias' mom was a mail mon, and that got me wondering. with junie's talk of becoming a mail mon earlier in the arc and tobias starting to see more of vivi in her, do you think vivi had ever expressed interest in following in her mom's footsteps and becoming a mail mon when she grew up? the thought occurred to me last night, and i Had to ask. excellent chapter btw, i am, fittingly, gnawing at the bars of my enclosure.

And Vivi was at that age where she changed what she wanted to be every other month, haha! So while she didn't have her heart set on it or anything, I'm sure she'd expressed interest in the mail 'mon career before. It's very possible she would've followed in her mom's footsteps if she'd been allowed to grow up!
