Have A Better Day
I just had a pizza delivery
to a hotel lobby.
I walked in with his order
and exchanged pleasantries
with both the gentlemen
behind the counter.
I handed my customer his food
and turned to leave,
when his coworker said:
"Excuse me, can I ask you a question real quick? If you have a minute, of course."
My mind started to race.
"Yeah, I have a minute."
People love to ask me questions
about dashing all of the time.
It was probably that.
"if someone told you to have a good day and you told them to have a better day, would you view that as kind or rude?"
"Hmm, it depends on the circumstance." I answered.
"tell me to have a good day."
"okay, have a good day."
"have a better day. How did that make you feel?"
Honestly,
great.
I loved it.
He was very happy to hear that.
It was such a wholesome
and fun conversation.
I hope I see him again.
As I left,
I told him to
have a better day.
