Ever since Lotor started dating (Y/n) he could tell that there was something different about them, unfortunately he couldn't quite pinpoint what that something was. Dating a human wasn't anything like dating an altean, there were so many differences between human and altean dating customs, but he loved them nonetheless and he couldn't have asked for a better partner. There was a big secret that (Y/n) was hiding; they enjoyed being hypnotized, unfortunately they thought he would think they were crazy if he found out their biggest secret. They knew there weren't supposed to be secrets in relationships, although they knew that they would need to tell their boyfriend sooner or later to avoid any conflict if he were to find out on his own. However, when Lotor took (Y/n) on a date to the frozen planet where the mer people lived he noticed how his lover seemed to enjoy being hypnotized by the octopus dancer who put on shows for guests; (Y/n) was snapped out of their trance after the dance was finished, but Lotor definitely noticed something was going on with them.
When (Y/n) eventually told Lotor that they liked being hypnotized he gave them a funny look, like they were weird, but then his expression softened and he asked them about it. (Y/n) felt anxious about telling Lotor about enjoying being hypnotized, although after taking a deep breath and started explaining why they liked it so much, thankfully he didn't seem to judge them. After Lotor actually saw (Y/n) hypnotized for the first time after their visit to the frozen planet he became very interested in it, he even wanted to try it with them. Lotor read all he could about hypnosis so that he could try it on (Y/n), which was exactly what he was doing during the present moment. Humans and their habits never ceased to amaze him; after Lotor thoroughly researched hypnosis and put Acxa in charge for the day he and (Y/n) stayed in their habsuite so he could indulge them.
"Alright (Y/n), you will do as I say." Lotor said calmly while walking around his significant other, he already began the process of hypnosis and he wanted to see what they could do.
(Y/n) didn't say anything as they just stood right in the middle of their bedroom, waiting for his first order; being hypnotized gave them a sense of deep relaxation that they didn't feel when they were fully conscious, although they were known to follow certain requests when they were under hypnosis. Lotor remembered how (Y/n) once admitted that they enjoyed using hypnosis during sex, but for the time being he wanted to try something simple for the time being. Lotor had to think about what he would tell (Y/n) to do while they were under hypnosis; he didn't want them to do anything crazy, just something simple, and as he looked down at his human lover he admired them for being willing to be so vulnerable around him. (Y/n) stood perfectly still with their eyes closed, awaiting for Lotor to command them to do something, anything.
"(Y/n), hop up and down." Lotor spoke in a commanding tone, giving (Y/n) their first and only order, he was only conducting an experiment and he wasn't going to abuse his power over them.
(Y/n) did as he said and began hopping up and down a little, their feet making a slight pounding sound each time they touched the floor. Lotor was shocked that (Y/n) followed his order so easily and with such eagerness, usually it would have given him an idea that would probably turn out badly but at the moment that thought didn't cross his mind, he was too curious. (Y/n) just continued hopping up and down, not visibly getting tired, or at least he didn't think they were getting tired considering how much energy they seemed to have. Lotor decided to bring (Y/n) back to consciousness after a few minutes, snapping his fingers loudly and causing them to come out of your hypnosis. (Y/n) looked around their room in confusion to see if there was anything different; there wasn't, of course, but their legs felt a little sore.
"How are you feeling?" Lotor asked (Y/n) curiously, wondering if they had truly been unaware of what he had them doing whilst under hypnosis.
"My legs are a little sore, but other than that I'm okay." (Y/n) answered, not remembering anything during the few minutes that they had been in hypnosis.
"I'm glad, my love. You obeyed my order so well." Lotor responded with a suggestive tone, smirking at his lover who looked more confused than before.
(Y/n) didn't know exactly what he had them do, so they were naturally suspicious and hoped it wasn't anything nefarious; only a few minutes had passed since they started which didn't give a whole lot of time for him to have them do anything they wouldn't do if they were conscious, thank goodness. Lotor liked hypnotizing (Y/n), probably more than he should have, but he still thought it was a strange thing to like. He and (Y/n) sat on the bed and he told them that he only made them jump up and down for a few minutes, causing them to let out a sigh of relief. Since Lotor's curiosity was satisfied for the time being he and (Y/n) decided to go get something tasty to eat for breakfast. (Y/n) felt more confident about talking more openly about enjoying being under hypnosis, they even answered Lotor's general's questions about it when everyone ate breakfast together that morning.
