Hot Chelle Rae On So Random

It’s hard to believe it was more than five years ago when this happened. I still can’t believe Disney Channel made them change the lyrics and wouldn’t let them show off their tattoos. Disney Channel let One Direction have their tattoos uncovered when they appeared on several ads on the station. Oh, well. It’s still a good performance and kind of makes for a good laugh if you think about all Hot Chelle Rae must have gone through. Plus, Ian Keaggy was still in the band.

A Business Proposal | Demon Cat

When Chester returned to Swynlake, his first order of business was to play catch-up. For two years, he’d been the honorary self-appointed secret-keeper and welcoming committee. He paid attention to the classifieds, knew when people moved out and moved in, what businesses were hiring and who to keep an eye on. When he saw someone he didn’t know, he slipped into the air and trailed them until he got bored-- unless they were interesting/important/useful and then he stuck to them like velcro, not that they were ever aware. 

He knew where to go to find secrets too, whether it was in the bowels of the court or in the back alleys at dusk. And this was how Chester learned the inner workings of Swynlake. He was a few months behind now and so he dived right back into it when not plotting with Mitte and watching reruns of Merlin on the telly. He trailed the alleyways, he picked up the classifieds, he skulked the offices of the apartment buildings to learn the names of new residents. He took notes because, well, if he was going to commit to something, Chester committed all the way-- and through these methods, he learned of dear Duchess of Bonfamille partaking of a house in the Woods; the return of the jedi Romanian woman Esme and her cousin, Lymantria; and of course, the unassuming, perfectly boring, James P. Sullivan, who perhaps wouldn’t have caught Chester’s notice at all if timing hadn’t been especially right. 

You see, he appeared one day after curfew in the streets of Swynlake, looking left to right in the way that people do who have something to hide. Now Chester was out, yes, and so were the other hooligans of 11pm and onward. But why was boring, stuffy, twinkly-eyed James P. Sullivan? 

Chester trailed him. He’d followed him, kept his distance, and glimpsed the transformation for himself: James P. Sullivan was a demon. 

And just what Chester needed. 

And so tonight, he snuck into Sully’s apartment and he took the amulet when the demon put it down whilst he stepped into the shower (so silly-- a demon, showering!) He took it, he pocketed it, and then he waited. When Sully emerged, Chester very dramatically swiveled in a chair and turned on the light by his desk. 

“Hello there, James P. Sullivan,” Chester said, grinning. “I’ve been waiting to meet you.” And he took out the amulet and dangled it there in the air, to show Sully exactly who had all the cards.
