A.A. Milne illustrations in "Who Was A.A. Milne?" really look based on Domhnall
there's that scene in goodbye christopher robin where a.a. milne says goodbye to his son who's going to war and he looks back at his dad before stepping onto the train and milne is suddenly seeing his son as the little boy he used to be; and there's the scene in top gun maverick where they're about to go on the mission and mav tells rooster they'll talk when they get back but then calls after him when bradley starts walking away and bradley looks back at him — and, well. you get it.
What a beautiful fictional family! 😍
Domhnall Gleeson, Will Tilston and Margot Robbie at ‘Goodbye Christopher Robin’ premiere, 2017 🧸
I've wanted to do fan art of "The Milnes" for so long. This was the first one I did back then, right after watching "Goodbye Christopher Robin" and reading about their real-life story.
I remember that the thing I liked least was the design of the plushies. They have... creepy eyes.
I had no idea Christopher married his cousin, nor that his daughter had a severe case of cerebral palsy. The most touching part is that Christopher Robin created a foundation to help people with disabilities! It's nice to know she wasn't mistreated. Quite progressive for its time, I must admit.
Tbh these draws are SO OLD.

Margot Robbie as Daphne Milne in «Goodbye Christopher Robin» (2017)
Maybe I can help.
These are from Peter Rabbit, Harry Potter, About Time, the one in the middle (I think) is just a photoshoot, and Goodbye Christopher Robin. I'd probably search screenshots from Frank and Frank of Ireland just for the heck of it as well. And if you look through pictures of the UK premiere of Peter Rabbit you can get a few shots with a nice floral backdrop behind him.
How can I keep forgetting about Milnes 😭😭 I actually made an edit today with him inspired by the movie, its so gorgeous.
I will put it here so you, my favourite fellow Domhnall loving mutual, can enjoy.
