I'm not into Valentine's day very much, but I feel like this might make a maybe slightly weird but still maybe fun valentine's card? No? Maybe ? Probably not. I don't know.😂 . Today SUCKED peeps ! My anxiety is at an all time high, my various physical ailments are making me imagine all sorts of worst case scenarios, and I am sleeping absolutely terribly. Today was stressful, unproductive and bleeeeh. Slightly better than yesterday I suppose though. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. At least I managed a sketch. Some days are like that I suppose. Some days homeschooling looks like having fun together and enjoying the subject. Other days, bad chronic fatigue days for Charlotte it looks like me making notes, condensing those notes and then talking Charlotte through them while she rests. Either way she gets something done, even if lying down, even if feeling dreadful. Chronic fatigue syndrome is not "feeling a little tired" or "we all get tired" nor is it "aren't you lucky to be at home". It's a serious disability that takes away the individuals ability to take part in and enjoy normal life. It takes away their ability to be themselves. Without the correct support children and teens lives just come to a standstill. Depending on the severity of the chronic fatigue their lives may come to a standstill regardless. We are lucky that I'm able to be at home most of the time and focus on helping her with moving forward with achieving anything she can. We have no outside help for Charlotte, no funding for her education and no support from any agencies. Today's mini drawings. One inspired by snails. And my children. And how bad I feel that yesterday afternoon I was totally yelling, unkind, short tempered and idiopathically frustrated with them. This is not a part of myself I like or feel good about. But it's there, and when the conditions are right out it comes. I simply have to control my conditions. I pray about it. I write it down. The second drawing was inspired by an Ariana Grande music video (they still makes those! 🤔) That I caught for a split second while in the last 60 seconds of my treadmill run. I couldn't hear the song, but loved the image.
