hello! i'm loaf (she/her, 28, gmt -7, colombiana) & it's so lovely to have you here! please know i work full time so availability here will be limited and often queued. i'm more active on discord which is available to mutuals upon request ! this blog is minimum 21 years of age and i will NOT be engaging with underage users

i like to befriend my writing partners, so please let me know if i ever come on too strong or if any nicknames bother you (i tend to drop these left and right). that goes for anything! let me know if ANY of my behavior bothers you!

formatting-wise, i use small text and a post divider with occasional icons (see bullet below). do not feel you have to match me here! i usually try to match my writing partner's length, and formatting. let me know if you need me to adjust for any reason!

i use icons very sparingly and only when i feel the mood strike, so you’ll see a mix of both types of replies (possibly within the same thread! if this bothers you, please let me know and i can adjust my formatting accordingly)

while plotting is not required, i am a HUGE fan of building stories, and dynamics ahead of writing. there's still a lot of value to tossing memes and random starters, but i adore a bit of plotting beforehand! this blog is multi-ship and multi-verse!

regarding ai - please don't use it to write with me. i don't use it to write (all those em dashes are painstakingly ctrl + shift + dash-ed by me ). do not feed my writing to ai.

i think a hiatus might be in order

work is absolutely ravaging my mental health. i do not let people speak to me or treat me like this in my personal life but because it’s professional i kind of have to just take it to a degree ? i’m actively applying to and interviewing for other jobs but for now i just have to deal

today i was spoken down to so condescendingly in front of someone who sat by and didn’t correct behavior. they both just watched me be on the verge of tears in confusion. it was giving the meme of trying to have your dad help with math homework

can’t relate to the meme bc god rest his soul my dad was very patient with me when i was confused

but these people talk down to me, actively made me go a more confusing direction that is therefore more error prone, and didn’t check in with me at all after literally visibly being on the verge of tears

also like i’m not stupid. i’ve been on an advanced promotion schedule my entire career, been published on original research as the primary writer, and literally everyone else i’ve ever spoken to has lauded my professional skills

so until i get a job that doesnt treat me like shit on the bottom of a shoe i think i need to take a step back

( how could you have lost sight so quickly ? ) a choked sob left her, then, knees weak, guilt and shame drowning her in that single breath.

then down she sunk, the earth and stone unforgiving on her knees, biting gently as weary bones slipped downward. ❛ everyone , ❜ she rasped unevenly. ( you ignored his second question — how could you answer when you didn’t know ? ) her head shook and she hadn't realized she'd been holding her breath until she spoke next, voice small. ❛ i'm sorry. ❜

he looks worried — and she supposed it made sense. zafiya did not come without her fair share of issues, strings attached, reasons upon reasons for something to be wrong. only, this time, everything was okay. ( how long had it been since you’d had a chance to celebrate something ? ) it was like speaking a foreign language, like dancing steps yet unknown.

bashfulness near overtakes her. ( how long had it been since you’d been capable of doing something good ? ) ❛ it’s just a birthday gift, ❜ she wrung hands before her nervously. ❛ open it, ❜ she urged gently with the barest smile, the feeling of it unfamiliar atop lips. it was almost exciting — something like hope sneaking past defenses and curling something warm between her ribs, like she hadn't felt in longer than she could remember.
