The year is 1816/7. The autumn has been harsh and the winter even harsher. Your muse, for reasons of your own choice, have found themselves stranded during an ongoing storm across the northern English countryside. Several days battling rain, snow, cold and hunger have left them weak and desperate, and just when they think they’re not going to make it much longer, they see the outline of a building on the horizon. Stumbling through the courtyard of a grand home left to ruin, seemingly abandoned, they collapse in the front doorway. When they wake up, they’re tucked into a bed, with clean, dry clothes nearby and a fire crackling away. The house isn’t as abandoned as it seems, tended to by one lonely inhabitant that only really comes to life when the sun goes down - and for the time being, your muse is stuck recovering and waiting out the weather with him.
I write novella style/lengths, with replies anywhere from (more casual/quick) 500~ words to 2000. I make sure to always include substance to move the plot forward and give you something to reply to (and can always edit to add in more if you need), while at the same time I love pretty, descriptive writing that makes the world feel alive. All is dependent on the context of each reply at the moment, but I do get wordy on average. I write past or present tense (with a pref for present for this genre) and I am easy with triggers, dark topics, and smut, and I’m open to mxf or mxm, with all characters being 20+ at minimum (with a love for older characters too!). I’m absolutely open to most types of muses for this plot, although I do think it could be interesting to write against a non-white male muse in this setting if anyone wants to indulge me. However, your muse can be anyone! Male, female, young, old; from a wealthy background or a harsher one; on the run or simply lost on the way elsewhere, whatever!
