The Gorilla Whale, literal Gojira.
The ideas range from: Godzilla being THE white whale, Moby Dick, and was mutated from the bomb; a mutated merging of whale and dinosaur; the rest, playing around with the whale and gorilla aspects as more literal.

On this week’s episode Kevin and Kayla take on King Kong vs Godzilla (1962). Original Godzilla director Ishiro Honda is back and he’s selling out to the masses! Or is he? The cash-grab crossover blockbuster may be older than we think, but that doesn’t mean Honda isn’t here with some points to make. ゴジラは先史時代の爬虫類の怪物で、長年の核放射線によって目覚め、力を与えられました。 広島と長崎への原爆投下と第五福竜丸事件が日本人の記憶にまだ新しいことから、ゴジラは核兵器の比喩として考えられました。ゴジラは米国の比喩であり、目覚めた「巨大な獣」であると示唆する人もいます。 その「眠り」から日本に恐ろしい復讐をするのです。 映画シリーズが拡大するにつれて、一部のストーリー展開はそれほど深刻ではなくなり、ゴジラをアンチヒーローとして、または人類を守るそれほど脅威ではないものとして描きました。 その後の映画では、帝国の過去、自然災害、人類の状況に対する日本の無関心、無視、無知など、異なるテーマや解説が取り上げられている。
