Kids, don’t try this at home!! We could hardly put this fire out when we finished the shot. No bueno, even if you are experienced. Practice fire safety at all times, and invest in a fire extinguisher if you do a lot of spell work. Always keep your spell work in a safe area when it is burning, and always keep it in view so you can see when things get out of hand. Believe me, things can get outta hand very fast, as in this video….well, almost. Stay safe, witches and occultists!!
Using the twine, bind the person’s image to the cow’s tongue. With this thread I bind your tongue. Take the iron nails and hammer them into both the tongue and the person’s picture, making sure to put a nail through their mouth/throat. Three nails to stop your speech and silence you. Wrap the tongue in a sack or in butcher paper and bind it up well with black thread. I cover your mouth to end your lies. Bury the whole thing deep so that it isn’t dug up, but near enough that you can retrieve it later. Let your mouth fester and your words die within your rotting mouth. The person should be unable to speak ill of you for a time - ideally, this spell should also manifest physically as well in the form of cavities, mouth sores, or injuries to the mouth/throat. If you’ve land and space then you can leave the tongue to decay on its own. If not, then you’ll want to dig it up and dispose of it after a while.
A spell to stop gossip/rumors that are being spread about you or someone you know.
Ingredients:
Adder's Tongue or Slippery Elm (to stop gossip)
An acorn (protection- in this case against getting hurt with words)
Sea water (to heal the wounds the gossip has already caused and cleanse and banish the negativity)
Cauldron or something to safely burn herbs in
Directions:
Burn the Adder's Tongue or Slippery Elm (or both if you have them) in your cauldron/ safe herb burner to burn away the gossip and/or rumors.
Roll the acorn in the ashes of the herb(s).
Say: Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me, so shall it be/so mote it be/ and so it is/ etc
Pour sea water over the acorn or dip the acorn in sea water to wash off the ashes and promote healing.
Carry the acorn with you or give it to the person that the gossip is about to protect against further harm from the gossip, carry until the gossip/rumors stop completely.
I was originally inspired to write this spell when I saw @aspelladay post of a group gossip banishing spell she pulled from Elemental Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells. Its a two part spell. The first part is to perform a molybdomancy divination using candle wax, water and a small taglock owned by each gossiper. (paper clips, post it notes, a piece of hair, picture ect.) the second part is to make and enchant the gossip banishing incense cones focusing on those who instigate the gossip and then burn the gossip banishing incense where the offenders will smell it. If you already have a good idea of whats happening in the workplace, friends circle or where ever your having a particular problem with gossip then skip the first step and go strait to the incense making instructions.
Ingredients Needed:
A white or purple pillar candle (or melt the candle down using a double boiler)
A large cauldron or pot
Taglocks of those you think are participating in the gossip
Moon water or lavender infused water
Cloves
Dragons Blood
Sandalwood powder or Slippery Elm powder
Mortar and pestle
Gum Resin (Gum arabic, guar gum, tricanth gum)
Saltpeter (potassium nitrate)
Step One: Molybdomancy Using Wax
Using a large cauldron or large pot fill it with ice cold moon water, using your left hand anoint each taglock with some of your water. Quiet your mind and commit yourself to trust the very first thought that pops up. You’ll be using Molybdomancy to better divine the situation at hand; to do this you must watch the wax as it forms a shape in the water and solidifies.
It’s best to decide what you’ll be looking for and what it will mean to you before hand. For example if you see multiple limbs in the wax then the number of limbs will mean this. if its particularly stringy it will mean that and if it is more rounded or if you see specific shapes they mean this. the Pay attention to what side it favours in the water as it could indicate who is the key culprit in all the gossip going around.
With a quiet mind and a larger white or purple pillar candle pour the melted wax into the water and wait for it to solidify. wait until it sets, Don’t pull it out to early otherwise it’ll become misshapen.
Once you pull it out write down all of your thoughts or record them using your phone. I find putting things to paper really helps me sort through my thoughts, getting rid of the loudest ones and helping me find the quieter nuances of what I’ve been able to see. As you write do not stop to re-read anything. just keep writing and writing until there's nothing left in your head. THEN you can reread. Don’t doubt your first instinct.
Step Two: Gossip Banishing Incense Cones
The second part is to make incense cones that can easily be lit at a workplace, school, house etc. and affect the intended target(s) or intended space where gossip is a problem. Using the insight we gained from the previous step we can decide who we’re focusing on and how we want the intended to be affected. Hold this intention in your mind as you hold each component of the incense in your hand. Reach into it with your energy and awaken the ingredient to work towards your intention. Keep the intention in mind as you grind and mix the incense. Don’t worry about accidentally letting your mind wander. If it does don't dwell on it and instead go strait back to focusing on your intention; the worst thing you can do is worry about losing focus.
Ingredients:
Clove (2 Tsp)
Dragons Blood (1 tsp)
Sandalwood Or slippery elm Powder (2 Tsp)
Tricanth Gum or Gum Arabic (1 Tsp)
Salt Peter (Aka Potassium Nitrate) (1/4 Tsp)
Notes: be sure to turn everything into a very fine powder. The finer the better as it will affect how well and evenly your cone burns.
Take the powdered gum and mix it with enough water that it becomes a thick paste (like pudding). Set aside.
With a mortar and pestle grind out the Cloves (if your using whole) Then the dragons blood and Mix it with the wood powder.
mix in the saltpeter at this step if you chose to use it.
Test your gum paste to see if it needs more water (if its formed any clumps add more water and mix them back in) and then incorporate it to the incense powder until all of it forms mold-able clumps. You can always add more water but you cant easily take it away so go slowly. When the dough holds its shape when you squish it into a ball and set down its ready.
Form your cones and set on a plate and place it in the sun to dry.
Makes 7 average sized cones.
Light the incense in range of your intended target(s).
This quick spell is helpful to stop hearing gossip and to stop gossip about you.
You will need:
- Slippery Elm powder
- Yourself
Take the slippery elm and with your dominant hand use your index finger to rub the powder onto your pulse points on your neck (below your jawline and ears) and over your third eye (right above the part in your eyebrows) while saying the following:
Those that would spread rumors have no power here.
And what they say falls on deaf ears.
If inherent harm is what they seek,
they’ll know better than to say it to me.
Those that speak ill of me will find
that gossip is an idle bind
and only leaves them behind.
By earth, air, flame and sea,
as I say, so shall it be.*
*Those last two lines can easily be changed to fit your deity or the rule of three (if you follow the rede), that just happens to be what I use to wrap up my spells.
