I miss GOT more subtle foreshadowing.. like remember the first 3 episodes before we knew the characters well and Bran was nearly stabbed and the Starks were told the knife was Tyrion’s and even the episode before we got Tyrion being all ‘I’d be interested in what he says when he wakes’ and ‘I love my family more than anything’ so it’s all a bit 😱 maybe he did?!? But then we think about it and to this point we’d been told Tyrion was an intelligent man and no smart man tries to murder someone with their own knife and in the end it wasn’t him.
Like season 8 is being all ‘Crypts are tots safe.. omg it isn’t?!’ ‘Perhaps we should allow our army to rest first.. oh crap we didn’t and they weren’t ready?!?’
