This is an insult to my intelligence
Mhysa
I get what happened and that it could be argued that Dany's Mad Queen snap was foreshadowed but I still wish they had some sort of trigger that made her realize what she was doing before the episode ended. A sort of call back to Dany remembering her true purpose for wanting the throne...
So here's my alternate version of what I wished had happened.
The destruction of King's Landing is pretty much complete, except we get a shot from above looking down on a little girl alone in the middle of a street square. There are burnt bodies and flames all around. Her hair is covered in ash making it nearly white. There are tears streaming down her face and her arms are outstretched in desperation as she cries out "Mother! Mother! Mother!"
Dany sees this little girl and for some reason amongst all the screams she hears this child. But instead of hearing "Mother" she hears "Mhysa" and the voices of those she freed in Yukai. And as she hovers over this scene, it's the first time she truly sees what's happening. And you see the change in her face. You see how horrified she is as she looks around at everything she's caused. And it cuts away as she twists Drogon and they fly up and away from the city.
Emilia acted the hell out of the scenes she was given and I would love to see her act the hell out of an alternate situation like this too.

We totally misunderstood Jaime’s death
Obviously he went to the north to study up on architecture and infrastructure from Sam, then returned to King’s Landing and immediately was able to identify that dragon fire would cause structural weaknesses that would lead to a ceiling collapse. All jaime had to do was lure Cersei under the structural integrities to achieve his end goal of killing her. The writing this season is so next level.
Na razrusha’ya. I am not ruined.
E’ya razrushost. I am ruination.
- genya safin (the grisha trilogy) + daenerys targaryen (a song of ice and fire)
I'm so glad I didnt watch GoT for years cause this episode would have killed me worse than avengers endgame
