I am forever pressed at how the show had Sansa get a darker new look that just screamed power and had Petyr's full attention as she came down the stairs with that "Shall we go?" and then did nothing with a potential new power dynamic between them. That man was both proud and aroused and she knew it. Wasted opportunity. Could of had a toxic power couple otp.

like if i had to see sansa fall under the thrall of the man who conversely wants both the best & the worst for her: they already had that in petyr!! i didn't need a rehash of her time with joffrey or the theft of jeyne poole's story when they both could've run concurrently & had the whole thing being sansa trying to save her best friend while falling headfirst into petyr's manipulations due to the stress.

It’s clear by now that showrunners David Benioff and DB Weiss had no clue what they were doing, and once George R.R. Martin’s prose came to an end, instead of reaching out for help, or handing off the show to someone new so that it could be wrapped up in a reasonable number of episodes (several more seasons), they squandered everything they worked so hard to create and gave us . . . . . . pure, unadulterated garbage television. Expensive, sexy, big-budget trash TV. I have never been more horrified at the way a TV show has gone downhill, not because it was ever as bad as something like Fear The Walking Dead or The Walking Dead during the Negan wars, but because it fell from such a great height and it fell so hard.

Sometimes I remember a certain scene or line or a piece of music from Game of Thrones, and I am suddenly flooded with all the intense emotions that accompanied me for almost a decade, and it just breaks my heart all over again. I know it's silly and that it's just a show, but it was so much more for me while it lasted. It was something I not only deeply enjoyed but shared with so many of my loved ones; the hours I'd spend recounting certain events, family trees and histories for my parents, the long discussions about theories and symbolism with my brother and friends, the endless internet scrolling and engaging with an entire world full of people talking about the same thing. Is was a phenomenal, and I got to ve a part of it. Not only that, but just the sheer beauty of the show itself - its cinematography, acting, music, special effects, storytelling and so much more... And it hurts. It still hurts. It's silly and foolish, I know I KNOW, but it broke me a little bit, it really did. And it saddens me to know that this feeling is the one that will linger with me forever.

I started reading 1984 and damn...their dystopian authoritative police state where they constantly live under surveillance and have a thought police really has the audacity to promote propaganda painting this jewish guy Goldstein as a Hitler figure for advocating for freedom of speech and press. They literally do it by portraying him as hysterical, crazy, and a threat who would unleash hordes of asia upon them. Can you believe GoT really tried to pull that same brainwashing shit on us with season 8? Telling us that Big Brother Bran and his creepy surveillance magic is supposed to save civilization from that “evil mad queen Dany” they depicted with Hitler like imagery and an oh so scary horde of brown foreigners. They used the same bloody rhetoric to twist all of Dany’s lifework towards empowering the powerless, freeing slaves, and going after slavers as “the real evil” and then they got mad when most people in the didn’t turn out to be as gullible as the brainwashed masses in 1984. I have a newfound hatred for D&D after reading this book. This is why reading classics is so important, otherwise every tom dick and harry with the platform to influence people would try to pull this shit on their audience.
