{ Himbo Dabi Headcanons }

now that dabi is a certified 𝔊𝔬𝔱𝔥 ℌ𝔦𝔪𝔟𝔬™ (his intelligence rating on the official wiki is 3/6) let me propose a few headcanons for your reading pleasure

- since he’s a himbo he obviously needs someone to be his Feral Twink™ archetype so let me propose shigaraki to be the prime candidate for obvious reasons

- like,,, it just makes sense okay shigaraki plays minecraft religiously (he has a torch lamp that he actually uses unironically) and dabi shops exclusively at hot topic online because being in public makes him uncomfortable and he can get his fake lip rings without the judging eye of those around him

- the only problem(?) that he’s kinda skinny-buff. like i fucking hate the standard that all himbos have to be buff because its just not the truth but dabi at LEAST has enough muscle on him to pick shigaraki up if the twink didnt hiss and writhe every time he’d try to do so

- also let me clarify that dabi does not think at all but also thinks way too much?? its hard to explain

- like yeah he’s gonna brood over the fact that his own father never loved him and how painful he’s going to make the rest of his life out of revenge, but it’s backed by elevator music and/or the wii theme playing on loop

- just,, absolutely no thoughts whatsoever

- it’d probably be more obvious if he spoke more often, but he really doesnt speak if he doesnt have to. the only time his himbo energy is at it’s peak is when he’s stoned or super drunk and its hard to see either of those in action

- regardless though he does say some things that have people questioning his intelligence sometimes

- like one time he spilled like one of those microwave dinners on his shirt on accident and instead of just taking it off and putting it in the washroom he just threw it away

- of course the first response toga had (she was the only one in the room at the time) was “why don’t you just wash it?”

- cue dabi looking over to her like she’s speaking absolute gibberish, quirking a brow and obviously seeming like he’s being condescending as he says “You wash dishes, not clothes.” and proceeding to throw away the shirt

- it takes toga about 5 seconds to realize that dabi does not in fact wash his clothes. not out of laziness- no. out of the lack of knowledge that such a thing was even possible and thus could not even be considered as a thing that could be done

- but that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to questionable shit he’s done. some of his other “is he just stupid or did he genuinely not know” moments include but are not limited to;

asking what the spanish word for “tortilla” was when he was ordering food from a taco truck

opening a cheese slice packet thing like a bag of ships because he “didn’t see the flap” to open it

eating the wax on one of those babybel cheese disks because he was unaware that you could just take it off

pronouncing ‘translucent’ as ‘trans-succulent’

assuming that food dye and hair dye were the same thing and using that to touch up his roots when he didn't feel like going to the store for a new bottle of dye

thinking that pickles were a separate plant entirely and being dumbfounded at discovering that they’re actually just cucumbers

not eating pickles (or ANYTHING pickled for that matter) anymore out of distrust

texting kurogiri to call his cellphone because he couldn’t find it

trying to open the door at a gas station when there was clearly a bright red “CLOSED” sign inches from his face

- so basically now the league is convinced that he’s either super airheaded or just dumb as fuck when in reality its a mixture of both
