i can only describe the gotham accent as "what the fuck"
listen, so at first u have the basic jersey mixed with HEAVY new york accent
like stereotypical "i'm walkin 'ere"
but then it can only be described as 50s mobster
but then as we all know gotham didn't age past like the 1920s so there's this essence of trans-atlantic ness in there

What if the people in Gotham had specific accent, like how people from Boston have a Boston accent and people from Brooklyn have a Brooklyn accent, wouldn’t it be cool if they all sounded how mobsters sound in old movies cause the the city’s all about crime like (let’s be real 90% of Gotham’s inhabitants are criminals and the other 10% are cops)what if back in the day that was just all the rage to sound like and it just stuck
