my kanani doll arrives wednesday !!! so here are some hcs i’ve come up with in my excitement

༄ kanani is 19 yrs old

༄ a sophomore in college , majoring in environmental science with a poli sci minor

༄ big on climate activism!!

༄ she’s still surfing!! she also leads beach clean ups with the other girls she surfs with

༄ the biggest lover of friendship bracelets & other homemade gifts. any close friend of kanani’s has a wrist full of bracelets at all time

༄ a trinket collector but primarily second hand/passed down trinkets

༄ a beloved regular at her local coffee shop. she knows all the employees by name & will always chat with them for a while if there isn’t a line behind her

I’m posting some old photos since I haven’t posted photos in like forever! Also I’m aware I’m really slacking in the dolly good season department but the past two weeks have been so hectic! They’ll get even more hectic until I go on winter break in 2 and a half weeks but I’ll try to take more photos! Anyways here’s Kanani!

Friday Night Sleepovers #1: Makeovers

On this Friday night, Violet Seigler (TM #61), Kanani Akina, Mae Hirsch (Re-wigged TM #29), and Leeann Huverhouse (TM #23) are giving each other makeovers. Since Kanani could not figure out which color she wanted to use since she liked them all, Leeann got the bright idea to use each color for each foot. Violet has an audition for the musical her school will be putting on in the upcoming school year the next morning (once the results are in, the chosen cast will start building up on the show when the school year begins), so Mae give her a fantastic up due. It's going to be made to where the hair do will really look well if she tosses and turns in it in her sleep. Once Nani and Violet had their make overs, they went gave Leeann and Mae new looks, too. Leeann chose just the lime green color and Violet turned Mae's traditional braids into French braids.

Fixing And Customizing A Kanani Doll: Part 1

So as part of my renewed AG obsession, I found this pretty cheap Kanani doll off of ebay! Her hair was pretty messed up but she was mostly in good condition. The first thing I decided to do clean up the hair, though I already knew I was going to rewig her to customize her.

It started out pretty bad, but with some water and a brush, it slowly became more manageable!

I brushed through the hair and then trimmed the ends while it was still wet, just to even them out. After that, I curled it with some bobby pins and then removed her head entirely before moving on to the limbs for now.

Her limbs had some marks on them, but nothing too bad. The real horror was how loose her arms and legs were! For the record, I am barely pulling in these next pics.

All was well, though, after I tightened them up with some hair ties and gave them a good once-over with a magic eraser!

Alas, it appears that I have reached the 10 pic limit, so this will continue in part 2!
