perfect food to start your day
I really enjoyed my lunch at govindas restaurant this arvie 😁I'd earned my dinner after spending the morning attending my third yoga class of the week! It was lovely spending time with my awesome mum and her equally awesome carer and friend Chelle 💖 They are two badass ass, brilliant, strong, loving, inspirational ladies!
Had an absolutely lush day with my amazing mummy on Friday💖💖💖, 😁 Coffee in bed, attending a morning yoga 💪🙆💖 class, lunch at Govinda's (see attached photo of yummy food 😁🍛😍) and, sorted each other's wardrobes👟👠👒👕👗👘👙👚👜, put the food shopping away together, watched 🎬 Me Before You (and cried our eyes and hearts out 😢), ate junk food 🍰🍪🍦🍫🍬, drank SIX POTS of tea ☕☕☕☕☕☕ and did our toe and fingernails 💅💅💅 now we're cwtching with the doggies and watching Lethal Weapon and The Last Leg 📺😁 the only thing that would've improved our day was if Dad could've spent it with us! Big thank you 'Chelle for taking care of two of us for the price of one 😝😋!

i'm baaaack!
philadelphia was amazing! i had forgotten how much i really missed that city (i lived in that area for 8 years before moving back to CT, and i hadn't been back for over two years).
i woke up sunday morning (leaving the bf in bed) and went on the best run through center city. i knew i was running the first mile waaaay too fast, but i was so insanely happy to be back that i honestly didn't care. i slowed down when i got up toward the art museum and boathouse row because i wanted to take it all in. it's where i trained for almost every significant race i've run. when i finished, i realized that's the farthest and fastest i've run in almost a year (since my achilles injury). such a good feeling!
the bf and i met up with some of my friends at green eggs for brunch... and although they have several vegan options, i'm apparently an asshole for expecting they could actually deliver. i had some bangin' tangerine juice though, so i got over it.
later that afternoon we drove outside the city to see my friend sara who is recovering from a pretty serious foot injury she incurred while cross-fitting like a jerk. one too many jumps over a bosu and CRACK... broken-ass-foot, requiring surgery. she can't drive, she can't walk... poor kid. it seriously broke my heart to see her awkwardly hobbling around on crutches when she normally leads such an active lifestyle.
monday morning, i had to use the hotel gym... which was surprisingly not a total piece of crap. i am not a fan of the elliptical, but i did get to lift for the first time since friday, so that was a plus. again, the bf stayed in bed while i worked out. ...i'm not sure how i feel about that. we spent the rest of the day walking all over the city - probably about 6-7 miles total. i had a decent smoothie at mugshots in fairmount... but uh, that place fucking blows now. it used to be a really cute cafe/sandwich shop. now it's a total shit-hole. the highlight of my day: eating dinner at govinda's on broad and south. totally unhealthy, but totally worth it. it looks like such a scummy place, but dudes... their vegan chicken cheesesteak is like fucking crack.
i found out some really shitty news over the weekend: apparently attendance has been inadequate at the gym lately... so they're cutting my kyokushin class for the summer. asd;lfiuawer;jknasd;,vnadfg. i'm pissed. but a few of my friends and i have decided... this is our gym. we pay to work out here. and they can't stop us from working out together. i refuse to give it up for three months.
