In the way way back, when the myths of the Deities were, y’know, actually true, Locke (The Deity of the Forest that eventually has Staci as their vessel) lived in a little grotto in the forest. They slept in a little cave that was covered with ivy and moss, and would often sleep on a bed of flowers, not flattening or killing any flowers when they did so. They were fortunate enough to meet Solis (The Deity of the Sun @cultfought) and Nova (The Deity of the Stars and Space), and Locke soon found themselves under Solis and Nova’s wings.
In this AU, there are Old Gods and New Gods. The Old Gods represent things of nature or things that just happen with no human involvement. Using Locke as an example, they were created when the first forest was created. The New Gods, however, represent things such as concepts or man-made objects. For them to be created, they have to reach an apotheosis of some sorts. For instance, Scelus (Deity of Sin, going to John as a vessel) was created when enough people were sinning/believed in the concept of sins.
You may be saying “Sam. All of these deities in one place? What the fuck?” and you’re valid, but here’s the thing: All of these deities took vessels that were linked to Hope County because they all knew everyone was going to meet at some point (That point, in its climax, being the Reaping) and it was the perfect way to kinda sneak an ethereal, godly war into the shit already happening in Hope County. At the same time the Reaping and the prepping and the mess with Rook happens, those deities are taking control, promising powers, and taking back the world and becoming whole again.
A cuter and shorter headcanon, but: Because he’s Locke’s vessel and Locke is the Deity of the Forest, he can now understand and talk to animals! They’re the creatures of the forest! And since Vincent is the vessel for the Deity of the Beasts, he can talk to animals too!!
THIS MEANS STACI CAN TALK TO VINCENT IN HIS BEAST FORM TOO!!

So what you’re telling me is I’m not seeing things?!?! Now I’m wondering if this is a game glitch or a deliberate game update to add locations to the map (is that even a thing?). It’s so bizarre… do those places exist already and they just update the game to add components to the site…?
