No, but like what if female Galrans are like hyenas (i.e. The females are bigger than the males and have more testosterone) and then Thace's decision to marry Gracea ("the poor groom's bride is small) put him in a bad position with his family/peers/community (of course he doesn't specify that Gracea's Altean, since they're all supposed to be dead) and that severs whatever remaining ties he had to the Galra Empire's ideology
Oh, there’s an interesting idea. Like, their society is so entrenched in tradition and such that it’s killing them and Thace can’t take it anymore.
Only one hole I see with this, though: when Allura shapeshifted in canon, she got a lot taller and she didn’t even go all the way. Like, she was still partially Altean. So, assuming Gracea was of similar height to Allura, in full Galra form she would probably be around average height.
