Graciliraptor was another Microraptorian meaning it, like its relatives, had leg wings. It was found in the Yixian Formation of Liaoning Province, China and lived in the Aptian age of the Early Cretaceous, about 125 million years ago. It was about 90 centimeters long and was very lightly built. It was older than similar members of its family such as Microraptor and Sinornithosaurus and, thus, is the oldest named and well-known dromaeosaurid. All earlier dromaeosaurids from Jurassic are known mainly from teeth. It was very closely related to Microraptor.
