Over the last few interviews I've heard people ask a lot of good questions, so I tried to compile them for my own reference
I've been traveling a lot, going to different grad school interviews so it's been tough to post. It was really cool, and I'll probably make a post about it once it's all done and I have accepted an offer somewhere. Until then, enjoy the pictures I managed to take, 1) view from the window when I was returning home, 2) the cemetery across the street from the hotel one of the schools put me up in, 3) walking around campus at one of the visits.
Just had an interview with a potential grad program. Interview one went well. Interview two...went well, but I rambled some. I fucking rambled. She was a tough interviewer, I hope she liked me and I hope I get in.
Gonna get breakfast, drop off 3 rolls of film, return some stuff to the hardware store, and then study my ass off for this interview. Life has been too stressful lately, I don't enjoy this.
It’s March! Grad school acceptance/rejection notifications are going to start being a real thing soon. I only applied to two programs this go-around, and I should be hearing back soon (within the next month or so) whether or not I’ll be offered an interview.... I’m TERRIFIED. But also keeping pretty calm somehow (Idk how). I think I’m just not letting it fully sink in because I don’t want to be too beaten down if I get rejected.
Does anyone out there have any interview advice, masterposts, or sites you think could help? I’ve been really focused on what to wear (bc I’m not good at dealing with my anxiety and clothes make me a lot less anxious than interview question preparation) so I am feeling okay-prepared on that front. I just bought a book and saved some article abstracts by some of the people who might interview me, so I can get to know their careers a little better. Unfortunately I no longer have access to my undergrad library, so I can’t download articles, I can only see the abstracts (ugh, I should I done that when I first had the idea back in December)...
What kind of questions will they ask me? I feel like I only have a context for job interviews... I have no clue what to expect and I’ve been too busy (and avoidant) lately to look into it yet...
P.S. I am looking to follow more gradblrs! Especially psychology students.

INTJs do grad school interviews
I love grad school interviews because you get to sit and talk to people one on one about a topic that both of you are passionate about. However, I also find the weekends exhausting because you are expected to make SO MUCH SMALL TALK. At meals, socials, tours, etc. Like, I'd rather do more interviews? K, thanks 😊
Ok. First grad school interview was alright. I liked NIU a lot and everyone had great things today about Dr. Wu!! I have a dinner tonight at Toledo. If nothing else, I've really enjoyed meeting other people and learning things and being around people who are also passionate about psychology.
