My new method for addressing stress is as follows: feel the situation, address whatever urgency (fight/flight/flee) starts to rise, and then take a few deep DEEP (cathartic to be honest) and recognize that an obstacle is meant to be overcome and I will take that challenge even if it means I need to ask for help, reach vulnerability, or process it out. In the meantime there’s always baking which is one of my favorite outlets. Sometimes it’s less about eating the final product and more about the science and artistry of combining ingredients (especially when it’s gluten free),flavors, and decorating. When I look at something aspects of life like they are art, I feel happiness and joy.
