Grand Arcade Games
As the name of the realm, Grand Arcade, suggests, there are multiple varieties of games that are played together with varying rulesets. All of them have Ranked and Casual modes, and most of them have Free For All and Team modes. In all games, tamers use DigiNavis (info post later) to guide and assist their partners.
Royale
The base game of the Grand Arcade, and the most popular. The players are sent out onto a battle map to fight. Last mon/team standing wins.
Heist
Team mode only. Each team takes turns playing the roles of Theives or Guards. Depending on the map, the goal of the Theives is to steal either the most treasure in the time limit or to steal the single treasure the fastest. The goal of the Guards is to keep the treasure from being stolen. After each team has had a turn or two as the theives, the match ends, with the best scoring team being the winners.
King of the Hill
Players compete over control of marked positions on the map. In Free For All, there is a single marked position, and the player who controls the position for the longest total time wins. In Team Match, there are multiple positions, and the team that controls the most at the end wins.
Raid Battle
Less of an actual game mode and more of a weekly event. All participants for each battle team up to fight a duplicate of a powerful individual. Regardless of victory or defeat, rewards are distributed based on how much damage was dealt.
I wanna write more lore stuff to share Al's world, but it only seems to come from my fingers in piecemeal when talking at friends.
Even though she doesn't have a profile yet, Usarinmon, also known as Ririn, is the only one of Al's squad who has a full evolution line properly figured out. Everyone else is just... Loose ideas beyond Champion/Adult stage.
About: The Grand Arcade
In this version of the universe, the Digital and Material worlds stand firm an separate, with travel between being impossible under normal circumstances.
There are, however, multiple spaces where the two worlds overlap, allowing for life from both to mingle. Most of these spaces are small and unstable, lasting for short periods of time and leading to tales of the fae, youkai, and very realistic imaginary friends, among other things. There are also more stable overlap spaces that are destined to never collapse on their own, and it's one such overlap space where The Grand Arcade was constructed.
The Grand Arcade is a tower of seemingly infinite floors connecting the material and digital worlds. It was constructed long ago by ancient digimon and extraordinary humans who were, somehow, able to freely traverse the barriers between worlds. The purpose of this tower was for humans and digimon to bond and become strong together to protect both worlds from instability.
In current times, this is done through a Battle Royale game, where digimon, guided by their human partners, collect power ups and battle each other for supremacy, to be the last mon, or team of mons, standing.
The strongest team of all are known as the Grand Champions: Alister Rocksong and Jonny.
So! I know I haven't done much/anything with Al yet, but should I just have him visiting the multiverse while I work on assembling his setting? I need to get back into the swing of writing him and his crew of mons.
Also, from this point, the tag for posts about or set in Al's verse is "#grand arcade"!
