Had this format never existed, it's entirely possible I may never have gotten into animation. While Flash and 3D animators definitely inspired me a little later on, they were...shall we say...prohibitively expensive at the time. But free GIF making software and pre-made animatable characters were readily accessible to 12-year-old me.
