“I wish the ring had never come to me. “I wish none of this had happened.” Frodo Baggins
Weekend fanart sketch/drawing I did of Frodo (Elijah Wood ), one of my favorite characters from the trilogy movies and books.
Graphite /color pencils on sketch paper. #fanart #sketch #drawing #frodobaggins #frodo #lotr #graphite #charcoal #colorpencils #hobbit #tolkien
I was debating on leaving him as a sketch or finishing him. But decided to finish Nightcrawler. I mostly specialize in graphite so wasn't worried that I would mess him up.
Batman only works in black! Or sometimes, very VERY dark grey!
My brother loves LEGO Batman, and wanted an advent calendar style countdown to his birthday one year, so I made him one out of a cereal box and a tray of chocolates! This was scanned before I cut out the wee doors, but you can just see the imprints of them if you look closely. He was very pleased!
Drawn in graphite pencils and coloured pencils, on cereal box card in 2018.
Crowley in black and white, October 2022
I drew this with graphite pencils so I could finish it sooner, but even before starting, I knew it was going to look better in colours. And it did (see my former posts)
Still pretty fancy.
Mini Bride of Frankenstein I drew in the note space of July 2nd in my 2023 diary. That was the day I watched this movie for the second time. I am posting this today because it is the third anniversary of me watching this for the first time (January 18th, 2022, and yes, I do keep track of the anniversaries of the days I watched my favourite films :)).
Despite having watched this in July 2023, I only drew the Bride in late February last year. A lot of the drawings in my 2023 diary were drawn in 2024, because it takes me a while (who am I kidding, ages) to actually get around to the tasks I set myself most of the time :D
I had a pretty rough time drawing her nose, because I’m not used to drawing side-profile portraits, but overall I am pretty happy with how this turned out, although I wish I had darkened the hair more than I did.
Drawn with HB mechanical and graphite pencils ✏️

One thing I fully expected episode 115 to do: make me cry. (which it did, despite the fact that I can never manage to cry properly at sad fictional things, goddammit. The absolute exception to it being of course Grave of the Fireflies, which I had to pause because I was sobbing too hard to focus.)
One thing I fully did not expect episode 115 to do: give me so many Keyleth and Scanlan feels.
"I do a potato sack hold on Scanlan. Make sure he's all right."
"I can draw [Ioun's third eye] on you with the remaining remnants. That way you have it there, always."
"I love it."
"Okay. (I try to draw the outline of the remaining glyph on his head.)"
"Oh Scanlan –"
"Did you have a drink?"
"Scanlan."
"What can we do?"
"We can do little arcane cantrips when no one's looking and break the rules a little bit. Of Vasselheim. Just cantrips, though."
"You're such a rebel."
"I know!"
And of course when Kaylie pulls her father into a hug and "rests her head on [his] shoulder and doesn't say anything."
...I mean, thank goodness for The Search for Grog/Bob and Dalen's Closet because I am Not Ready to say goodbye ;____;
