Event Story - Chapter 11 (Grateful Days)

All the awards are given out, but Lannes’ voice rings out once more, announcing a “Special Award”. Originally, this ceremony was thought to celebrate the Meisters, but after many people made a request, the federation has decided to give out a special award to the one person most suitable for the Grateful festival. A newcomer who is in charge of many guilds and is extremely hard-working: Lannes’ eyes turn to Emma.

Adel: At first I thought you were just a mere rookie.

Kuchen: You’re a person with guts. You work too hard and worry too much.

Kai: Always running around for us. You seriously need a break.

Aoi: It seems as if you have it hard every day. Nevertheless, you always look straight ahead of you.

Lagoon: Even during this Grateful Festival, your voice could be heard here and there in all areas.

Victor: You had a wonderful time on your face the whole time, enough to make others smile too.

Crow: And that smile of yours, we love it!

Lannes: —Emma. This Special Award goes to you.

Emma doesn’t fully understand what’s going on, and Adel reminds her to stand straight; only then will her dress appear dignified and make her shine beautifully. Apparently, Adel was commissioned by the federation for this very moment, and he and Jin eagerly wanted to give something back to her for everything she’s done. Jin was the one in charge of procuring the jewellery and some of the embroidery, and he thanks Emma for always standing by his side despite him acting insufferable most of the times.

It’s Emma’s turn to give her speech, and after being cheered on by Victor and Velvet, she starts on by saying that despite being very surprised, she’s really happy.

Emma: Thank you for giving me such a wonderful gift. I am filled with gratitude. Oh, what should I say…

Lannes chimes in, proposing that she talks about her Grandmother. Emma continues, admitting that her dream is to become a guild keeper just like her Grandma. She looks around, heart beating and giddy with elation;

Emma: Through this whole Gratitude festival, I felt one desire. I love watching everyone chase their own dream, and I want to continue to support you so that these dreams become true. However, if I had to wish for one thing— I want to make those dreams even bigger. I wish to always stand next to the Meisters, shoulder to shoulder. My desire is to grow even more and create even bigger dreams with everyone!

Lannes chuckles, saying that the guilds she’s in charge of will need to put in more effort in the future. Crow and Kai happily accept the challenge, but Lagoon complains that this is turning into something troublesome. According to Oscar, if one is not greedy, walking the path of the Meister is impossible.

Victor complains about the plain name of the “Special Award”, and Lannes reveals that he had other names in mind such as Excellence award, Effort award, Newcomer award, Love Day award, Sparkle award, Cute award, My Proud Subordinate award— But anyhow, the one that fits Emma’s words the most is “Best Guild Keeper award” (Victor: Fufu, stupid boss). Emma ends her speech by thanking once more all the Meisters, the federation and all those who worked hard with her during the Grateful Festival.

Event story - Chapter 10 (Grateful Days)

When Lannes announces the Grateful Festival Special Area Award, everyone starts talking to each other. Lannes thanks all the meisters who made such an event possible, and adds that Velvet will be opening the park to everyone around the world. He thanks everyone for creating such a joyous event, and the crowd cheers.

Velvet: Of course, there will be times when everyone’s help will be needed in order to continue operating. In order to deliver to the world this dream created by everyone, let’s keep working together.

lannes also thanks the Chevalier knights for granting security to this place which is visited by many dignitaries.

Harriet: It is an honour for me to be able to protect a place full of wonderful love!

Alex: I vow to protect everyone’s smiles until the end. Please continue enjoying yourself peacefully without worries.

Then, the Special Area Award begins. Lannes would like to praise all guilds, but alas the world of craftsmen is based on friendly rivalry. The most popular area was the Gourmet area run by Gastronomy! Lannes invites a representative of the guild to leave a comment on the stage, and Oscar sends Kuchen over since he’s an ambassador, much to Kuchen’s dismay (Oscar is an ambassador too btw lol). Anyway, he heads to the stage with a slightly listless look after being encouraged by Emma.

Kuchen: I— No, everyone at Gastronomy is all about making the most delicious food, that’s all there is to it. However… I think that by getting involved with other people, our skills can be further refined. (YESSSS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!!!!) If those who gave us such an opportunity would want to eat our best food from now on— No, if they feel like they would want to make it together, then I’d be happy.

He meets Emma’s eyes and suddenly smiles admits the crowd’s roaring applause. She feels her heart warm at his words as a chocolatier and as a member of Gastronomy.

Next, the Alliance award goes to Tokohana, due to their role in preserving the traditional culture and their praising of peace through their work. Aoi steps on stage and admits that although he’s the ambassador, Asahi is the one who actually created Tokohana and continues to lead it. At first, he only thought of it as a fun occupation, and he probably does think that now, too; still, he now believed it is something very interesting too, and continuing to pursue being a meister at Tokohana will surely make him happy in the future. They will put to good use and continue cherishing their culture, their friends and the people who support them.

Velvet, as the landlord of this place, announces the Velvet award: the Water area, led by Jounetsu Taikai.

Searle: Aniki (= big bro)!! They called us!!!

Elma: Eh…? EHH…!? F-FOR REAL!?

According to Velvet, they were the ones who best embodied the concept of entertainment, and as an entertainer himself, he can’t help but respect that. He then invites Elma onto the stage.

Elma: EH, wait a min’! What am I even supposed to say at a time like this?! Hey, Shii-chan!?

Searle: Sheira and Uru are getting drunk over there~? Aniki, do your best!

Elma: Wait a minute! I need to think of the perfect phrase— Ah! Dassu, you come at the perfect time! runs over to DasteHey hey, don’t you have some kinda cool phrase to say?!

Daste: Hell if I know. Just go with your usual Whey Whey. I’m busy so don’t get me involded in this. walks away

Elma: EHH———!? Ah, uhm… first of all, thank you! I didn’t think we were going to be chosen for something, so I’m really happy! We only think about surfing all the time, and we get yelled at a lot… we caused problems during this Festival too. But, that’s because of how addicting it is! Really, I think surfing will save the world! It’s a lot of fun, so make sure you come to our guild! Even the people who never tried it before, we will teach you real quick! Also, Emma-chan! For before and now… thanks a bunch! I’m gonna tell you now!

All the awards are given out, and everyone gets off stage.

Adel: …don’t tell me this is the end. How pompous.

Then, Lannes announces a special prize.

Event story - Chapter 8 (Grateful Days)

Second day of the Gratitude Festival. Emma is in the Casino area, helping Victor serving drinks that were beautifully decorated by Sparrow.

Victor: Also… fufu. I thought Emma came here to play but she’s actually doing her best to help me. It’s so like you that it makes me laugh! (I had to put a video bc the way he says it… whew. Tsudaken hits again)

Ymir says that he’s here just for Emma, and that later he’ll show her some real hospitality. Emma is like “Stop touching my hair and go back to work, Liebe is working hard too. Liebe you too stop touching my shoulder and let me serve the customers”. Burn intervenes and asks Emma if they’re getting in her way, adding that if they are he’ll take care of them (yk the meme “is he bothering you queen?”🧍). In the meantime, Escrow passes a message from Camus who is out to Cheppie: “Kneel down and lick the floor until it’s spotless” (GUYS?????????)

Cheppie: CAMUS-SAN GAVE SUCH AN ORDER?!?! YES, GLADLYYYYY!!!!! (What am I witnessing rn)

Emma scolds Escrow for lying, and Victor tells everyone to stop creating more problems for Emma.

Exploration area. The scene opens with Emma asking what the hell is this miserable sight in front of her. Crow explains that normal exhibits are boring, therefore he took Cinis’ advice and tried re-creating a ruins escape attraction. Then, Itsuki mistakenly broke the “Storm invoking plate” and all other exhibits were scattered.

Itsuki: ….I’M SORRYY!!!

Emma scolds them for putting up and breaking such a dangerous thing. Noah cuts ins saying that all other adjacent areas were destroyed, and that Gran apologises. Evan, Navi and Himmel appear, and the former’s first comment is: “What is this miserable sight?! It hurts to watch!!”. Emma asks for their help to fix this whole mess and though Navi refuses, Itsuki tries talking him out of it.

Itsuki: Navi, for the love of God. Possess me to speed up the cleaning…. Thank you.

Navi pretends not to understand, but Itsuki bribes him with a whole baked apple. Evan is forced to comply, whereas Himmel helps them out in order to ease Grandflair’s stress.

After cleaning everything up, two rookies from the federation staff approach; they’ve heard rumours about the Moonwalkers guild, and ask Emma how come they end up destroying everything they touch. Crow tries defending his guild by saying that destruction isn’t really the norm for them (it is) and though there are some dangers involved, it’s the most fun out there (something Emma agrees on).

The day passes quickly, and despite Emma being tired, she had a lot of fun. Lannes appears, thanking Emma for her hard work. Then, he gives her something: it’s an invitation to the Midnight Festival, a party held at the central hotel on the fourth night, attended by both Meisters and federation members. It acts as a reward to the Meisters for their hard work during the Festival. Lannes explains that they need to return the Meisters’ feelings, and Emma notes that it is a continuous loop of thank yous.

Lannes: I think that’s a good thing. While maintaining mutual respect, we sometimes clash, we work together, and we pursue our dreams. I think that’s how the federation staff and the Meisters should be.

Emma remembers that her grandmother used to think the same, too.

Gerda: Emma, a guild keeper is someone who always believes in Meisters and continues supporting them. And as people who harbour big dreams, Meisters ought to do it too.

Event story - Prologue (Grateful Days)

In a space filled with lots of light and lots of smiles, suddenly someone called my name.

Kuchen: What are you spacing out for, didn’t you hear me?

Adel: Straighten your spine; your costume can shine only if you show dignity.

Adel: It will make your shine even more beautiful.

Aoe: Come on, go, Emma. Everyone is waiting for you.

Sent out by a voice full of kindness and warmth, the destination is—

(Change of scene: Record Country - Record. World Guild Federation Headquarters, Conference Room)

Lannes greets everyone and starts the Guild Masters conference, a meeting held irregularly every once in a while, whose purpose is that of aiding in the exchanging of information and in the socialisation between guilds. Emma is attending as a secretary.

Lannes starts the meeting by asking for the seasonal guild reports. Grandflair says that the Moon Wanderer Guild (Tsukiwatari) has been exploring the Solaria ruins for the month, and that many new relics were discovered; they were handed over to researches, and they will probably be very helpful in making more discoveries concerning the ancient civilisation of Solaria. (To which Lannes replies with an “Excellent!”). Then it’s Over the Rainbow’s (Niji no kanata) turn with Lagoon, who introduces himself. He proudly announces that, for this season, his guild was able to make new discoveries through magic: a toy market in Toyland, a royal wedding at Woodman, etc. (T/N: these are all past events) and in all cases, they received good feedback from people. Est intervenes by thanking Lagoon for taking care of his students during the toy market, to which Lagoon responds by saying that Towa also enjoyed himself a lot and would love to participate again.

Asahi says that in term of joint guild activity, Eternal Flower (Tokohana), also collaborated with Fata Musica by creating the Hyakka Festival, which had many visitors and was very well received by the public. He thanks Velvet, who admits that it was also an enriching experience for the actors of Fata Musica, as they were able to perform in an unfamiliar environment.

Lannes says that speaking of new experiences, Gastronomy also developed some new interesting projects. Oscar mentions Cuit’s cooking class, which are still being held from time to time.

Grandflair thanks Oscar for taking care of Itsuki that one time (T/N: with a troubled look on his face bc Itsuki’s cooking is simply…. LOL), and Oscar says that he doesn’t mind because dealing with him and that monster called Itsuki (T/N: LMAOOO) gave Cuit a confidence boost; furthermore, the purpose of the course wasn’t only that of teaching how to cook, but also to teach people the gourmet way? or something like that. Est says he believes that Magia Seminar was able to bring sorcery and magic closer to each other through the magic competition. Since it’s a small guild, they’ve had to do it one step at a time, but still he learned that big challenges can cause growth in people.

Elma cutely recalls the attention by saying that his guild has managed to gain hella more surfing buddies! To which Lannes says “hella more? That’s good then!”. Elma says they probably did it by defeating pirates and setting off fireworks; but most importantly, by doing WEYYYY together! (T/N: that’s Elma’s catchphrase, it’s just an exclamation lol he’s so cute) Lannes looks like he doesn’t really understand and says “….Question….” (In English), so Emma says she will give him a report explaining what they actually did later on.

The meeting goes on and all guilds share their experiences. While feeling nostalgic of everything that happened in the past year, Emma keeps on taking notes. The meeting eventually comes to an end, and Lannes thanks all the Guild Meisters for their hard work, saying that their activities will definitely help humanity and bring a smile to people. Everyone starts smiling at his words, but, with a serious look on his face, he would also like to remind them of something.

He tells Emma to read it aloud, and she begins with a series of reports of all the problems that each Guild has caused. Over the Rainbow: over 30 urgent mass orders for equipment in the past month; Gastronomy: overworking of over 50 people in search for rare ingredients in a short period of time;

Moon Wanderers: destruction of various ruins in the past year (Grandflair: IM REALLY SORRY ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!); Passionate Ocean (Jounetsutaikai): only 1 out of 10 reports were complete and accurate (Elma: you even counted them, ‘mma?!). Lannes thanks Emma, saying that the list goes on, but they can stop there for now. Emma apologises by saying she feels guilty, too; after all, it’s a Guildkeeper’s job to prevent all these problems from happening. Lannes says she shouldn’t feel worry, and the fact that she feels bad about it was the whole point of the discussion, as great accomplishments are not made alone. Grandflair, Lagoon and Asahi all thank Emma and the federation staff for their hardwork. Lannes says that precisely because of how hard the staff has been working, he has decided to grant them all three days of vacation, as they all deserve it. He also asks the Meisters to collaborate with the schedule and not cause any problems, while apologising to Emma since he wanted to give her more than just three days.

Elma repeats the words “Vacation” and “Happy”, then exclaiming that it will surely be fun!! Emma looks confused, and Lannes says that unfortunately, the vacation will only be for the staff, not the Meisters. Elma replies that they, the Meisters who are indebted to the hardworking guildkeepers, will work hard! He says that he feels really grateful to Emma, and that he had always to repay the favour, and now!!! Is the prefect time for a big and happy vacation!! Of course saying that is way too easy comments Lannes, and Velvet asks him what he plans on doing. Elma admits that he was thinking of gifting them with a really fun surfing tournament, then he asks Asapin (Asahi, Asapin is a cute nickname) what he thinks of it. The latter says that he, too, would like to repay them for all the gratitude he holds in his heart. He would like for their culture to put them at ease, and he has a great confidence in the hospitality they can show the staff. Elma says that Gourmet participating is a must, and Oscar agrees. Est intervenes by saying that they (his guild) do something involving both magic and sorcery that will please everyone, just like back in the day, and Lagoon proposes they do a parade together, by mixing magic and mecha.

Elma: WEEYOO! Fan-tas-tic!

Lannes receives a message on his board that reads “Play a fun match against me”. It’s probably from the Maden Yugi Guild (T/N: it’s basically from Cinis), who has been attending the meeting online. Grandflair says that since they’re trying not to cause trouble, it’s better if they stay still and keep low. Velvet thinks that there is a place where you can relax, surf and eat gourmet food. Once, a parade of machines and magic was also held, and it is possible to play games as well. But that sounds like an amusement park, or even a dream, right? It’s too good to be true, Lannes admits. Velvet says that actually, some time ago, he bought a piece of private land that doesn’t belong to any country. They’re planning to make it into a theatre with accommodation recreational facilities, and they’re already building it. If each guild works together, then they will be able to make it. Elma: Vel-cchi, that’s like, really amazing! You’re sooo loaded, I’m jelly! (T/N: this man speaks only through slangs) (Velvet: Vel-cchi…?).

Oscar asks about how long it will take for the preparations, and Velvet answers that the main building will be completed in three months. Oscar is pleased and asks for the schedule to be prepared immediately; after all, it is only natural to thank those who create and are involved in gastronomy for their hard work. Lagoon says that since Mr. Oswald is saying that, they will participate as well. Everyone joins in, and Lannes is both speechless and touched. It’s only natural, after all the effort the staff put into their job, Oscar says.

Emma feels very happy, but…

Navi is here, and he says that it appears that the masters are thinking of doing some dumb stuff again, like expressing “gratitude”… that’s why he likes them. Caprice doesn’t quite agree, but he also wants to thank the big sis (Emma). Rindo also wants to thank Master, and Jin agrees. Evan says that although he agrees, he feels no gratitude. Chiria says that of course, because gratitude is nothing more than hypocrisy. Navi says that humans are really stupid.

Yumekuro - Kuchen - Grateful Days - Moon

warning: spoilers from kuchen's cards (the first one as well). Also, I'm going feral after reading this card, so there are some vulgar language here and there and nsfw shit too <3

SERIOUSLY WHAT THE FUCK THAT WAS SO HOT

I’ll be honest, the first part of the story was not as good as his other cards imo, I mean, I like it, (after all, who doesn’t want to hear kuchen’s voice?), but it was not that interesting.

This time, it’s obvious Kuchen is getting out of his comfort zone cuz in the past he was so stoic and demanding that most people were afraid of working with him.

After teaching MC how to do some good quality choco in his first card, he is not the same Kuchen anymore. I think he will always be a bit stoic (please don’t erase that trait of his personality completely), but he is more inclined now to cooperate with different people.

He has to manage a team of people who are preparing chocolate for this event.

Cuit even mentioned he changed but in a good way. In the past, he was going to do everything solo.

As one of the ambassadors, Kuchen offers himself to show the place to MC. They visit a lot of different areas. It looks like a park, but I may be wrong (as I didn’t read the event story lol).

After visiting many areas, Kuchen and MC sat on a bench. We saw a flashback of when Oscar obligated Kuchen to take MC as his apprentice. That experience was way richer to him than one could have thought. As he had to teach MC, he noticed it was kinda fun to actually work together. So now he is more open-minded to delegate tasks to a team.

Then, he gets some messages from his meister board. His colleagues are in trouble and he needs to help them. I didn’t understand what exactly was the problem. MC offered to help them too. When she was already leaving to find a shortcut to go back to where the staff was, Kuchen held her arm. He asked – but to me, it almost sounded like an order haahaha – if she would be free tomorrow night because he wanted to see her.

It’s the next day and MC met Kuchen just like she promised. The chosen place was Kuchen’s room. (AHAHAH OMG MY SHITTY DIRTY MIND. I JUST DON’T LEARN, DO I? I know this game is not for adults only but my mind goes crazy with the combo kuchen + room, or any double-meaning line in his cards).

He shows her a parade from his window. He said this parade is a thank you from the guilds MC works with (or sth like that). She gets touched seeing how thoughtful they all are. She indeed is a workaholic, but that's because she wants to make their wishes come true.

Then, Kuchen gives her his special gift: chocolate.

He made a box of chocolate. Those chocolates are different from the other ones she ate before. Each one of them represents MC’s mood: angry, happy, confused, embarrassed, etc.

But that’s not all, Kuchen really really likes seeing MC’s reaction, so what better way to tease her other than feeding her on his lap? I DIED AFTER SEEING THE CG. MUST WRITE A KUCHEN NSFW FIC ASAP

You can imagine how embarrassed MC was, especially considering she is way innocent for someone like him. She ate like two chocolates, and every time she ate one, he HAD to explain which emotion that chocolate was representing lmaoooo
