AU where Fiddleford stopped Billford with the memory gun before he could do significant damage… but at the cost of his best friend.

Worst of all, Ford would have been unaware of this development, and woken up with no memory of who he is, where he is, and who the man was sitting in the chair and waiting for him to wake up. He was sat there the entire time knowing Ford wouldn’t recognize him and when that time came, despite his inner preparation, he didn’t know what to do.

But Fiddleford wouldn’t abandon him when Ford asked him who he was. When all their memories were lost, possibly forever. He’d look at Stanford, despite feeling at loss of what to do, and just respond with a smile:

“I’m your friend, Stanford.”

And stick by him as he had done all that time.
