Even as autumn days grow shorter, a warming climate means Ohio winters aren't as cold as they were just a few decades ago, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data. This increasing mismatch between hours of daylight and temperature could spell trouble for animals that thrive by relying on seasonal cues to prepare their bodies for winter, according to new research from Case Western Reserve University. Scientists studying gray tree frogs—a species that survives freezing temperatures by storing "antifreeze" compounds in their bodies—have discovered that these amphibians naturally begin to prepare for winter by responding to shorter days rather than colder temperatures.

Victor probably enjoys getting misted like the vegetables in the fresh produce isle at the grocery store.
my source is I own tree frogs and they love that shit.
if I want to apply more of their behaviors he probably also drinks the water you mist him with as well by lapping it up with his tongue. Except uh. My frogs are stupid and they just try. Eating it. Instead.
they do this to the the water by the way, they are so stupid I love them
(Also here’s one of my babies, this is kiwi she is full of love. Do not worry I did just wash my hands before taking this and then I put her back in the water dish)
she’s so :)

Gray Tree Frog
Native to the eastern US, this tree-dwelling critter has an amazing ability to change colour blending in with foliage and tree bark.
It's grey, green, or brown skin is rough and warty in texture. They have large toe-pads for their excellent climbing, and randomly a bright yellow or orange patch on their inner thighs.
Like alot of frogs the Gray Tree Frog is nocturnal, and resides in swamps, woodlands, and back gardens. However, they spend a lot of their time in the trees- as their name suggests.
I love having frogs cuz I'll go up to their terrarium and see some shit like this
Like ???? Gang what are you doing???
