Useless rpgs recs not really recs. Upcoming rpgs that I look forward to.
Solasta = No date yet and the kickstarter ended in October. This is a party based rpg, where you create your own party but where the characters you create have voices, party banter and personality (so it might be like DOS1?). Not much about the plot is out. Also there’s a demo on steam up till mid-October. Black Geyser = The beta seems to ready to be distributed, maybe in November. This is set in a kingdom crumbling because of greediness and avarice, where the played can decide if to help the kingdom or succumb to corruption. It’s also party based with characters that can be recruited in your party. Graywalkers = Post-apocalyptic rpg where the hero has to separate Hell and Heaven from Earth (they merged together??). To do this the hero needs to recruit other 36 graywalkers... not sure what it means for character development of every graywalker... Baldur’s Gate III = I don’t think this needs any introduction! The Waylanders = Party based rpg with recruitable characters, from some of the creators of Dragon Age. Apparently it is based in the real world but the characters can travel through time, between the Celtic era and the Middle Ages. The Way of Wrath = This is also party based, and apparently with romance! In a cold world where the hero has to guide his people to safety. Eitr = Pixel graphic action rpg where you play a Shield Maiden in Norse mythology. Realms Beyond = This is probably the rpg I am mostly looking forward to in 2020! Isometric, party based with characters that you can recruit, romance, world exploration.
