Finally can show you this one. ✨ Yew ✨🌿
I was just thinking about a conversation I had with my older sister a few years back, like before DR came out kind of early.
It went something like…
Me: something in the now (at the time) season bothers me a little.
Sister: yeah? What.
Me: Kai… he just, what. Kept being a ninja? Everyone else left after Nya died, but not him.
Sister: yeah. Now that you mention it…
Me: but when Zane first died, it feels like he was more affected by it… Idk.
Sister: oh… also feels Like Lloyd was more affected than Kai.
But looking back that is such bs. I’m going to give past self a pass because we were still kinda young. But if I was expecting Kai to be the same way he was when Zane died, then we would’ve found him in an underground fighting club, drinking “juice” (be so fr it wasn’t juice) at a bar under aged, I did my research he was under 21, maybe not even 18 at the time, which is an entirely different can of worms to be over analyzed at a different date.
The point of this post is we know from the interaction between Wild Fire and Kai at one point in DR that Kai did actually pull away and do his own thing after Nya’s “death” but he then ended up going back to Wu to get help.
So what I chose to take away from that is Kai has been known to, at his lowest, do a little bit of substance abuse. But when realizing the bad that drugs can do to himself (and what it does to his relationships) he seeks out help, and has been sober for a few years now.
Have I possibly over analyzed this entire thing? Maybe, but I think these kinds of hc or theories make them feel more human, a little less of the perfect kid friendly world that they are clearly not living in.
Tuesday Night Music Club No. 83 - 'Fond Memories' by Greaf
So a relative passed away today.
We were not close and it was not sudden but it feels so weird to know that she will never greet me or smile ever again.
She was also pretty young.
Not that old people's deaths are less important it's just a bit more sad to know she had so much more to experience and she was hoping to heal and be able to live the second half of her life.
I've seen other relatives pass away in my life, even some with who I was closer, but I think I never fully grasped the concept of death untill now.
What I am taking from this is a renewed consciousness on how precious life is.
Please don’t pray for me
