Sandy in my lap = a picture my Mom painted and gave me for Christmas a couple of years ago.
unfortunately, Sandy’s health took a turn for the worse over the weekend and we had to make that difficult decision. she is in dog heaven now. i feel blessed having her as my friend. despite being blind for so long and nearly deaf and her other health issues, she never whined or complained and always treated me with love. so much of my anxiety and depression melted away when she was with me. i am in her debt and i will miss her until we meet again.
