do we think that if obi-wan had left behind a body after vader struck him down that vader would’ve gone full norman bates preserving the corpse to keep it in his fucking lava castle where he acts like obi-wan’s still alive and they never moved past their battle on mustafar? so vader is alternately screaming at him or mocking him or attempting to persuade his old master to join him again and of course it doesn’t work obi-wan’s just giving vader the silent treatment indefinitely and it’s beyond enraging and insulting every time but that’s fine because at least obi-wan’s too old and weak to ever escape him now
