The Philadelphia Cheese Steak The famous tastes of a Philly cheese steak are combined with the comfort of a grilled cheese sandwich in grilled cheese. Between slices of buttery bread and melted provolone cheese are tender ribeye steak, caramelized onions, and green bell peppers. This makes for a rich and filling meal.
Ingredients: 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced. 8 slices of bread. 8 slices of provolone cheese. 4 tablespoons of butter. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan over medium heat. Slice the green bell peppers and onions and add them to the pan. For about 8 to 10 minutes, or until softened and slightly caramelized. Take it out of the pan and set it aside. Season the ribeye steak slices with salt and pepper. Season the steak slices and cook them in the same pan for about two to three minutes on each side, until they are browned and done. Take it out of the pan and set it aside. Each piece of bread should have butter on one side. Cover four slices of bread with a slice of provolone cheese. Put some cooked steak slices on top of each cheese slice. Then add some sauted onions and green bell peppers. Add another slice of provolone cheese on top of the steak and vegetables. Then, put the rest of the bread slices on top, buttered side out. Over medium-low heat, grill each sandwich for three to four minutes on each side, until golden brown and the cheese melts. Take it out of the pan when both sides are golden brown and the cheese is melted. Let it cool a bit before serving. Make diagonal cuts in the sandwiches and serve them hot.

#RefrigeratorPickles. . . . . 12 cups sliced #Cucumbers🥒 (About 3.5 pounds) 2 cups sliced #Onions (10 ounces) 2 cups sliced #GreenBellPeppers (10 ounces) 4 cups granulated #Sugar 2 cups #WhiteVinegar 2 Tbsp #SeaSalt 2 tsp #CelerySeed . . Place sliced vegetables in a large non-reactive bowl (stainless steel, glass, or enameled) and set aside. In a large saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, salt, and celery seed. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally for a few minutes, until sugar dissolves. Allow syrup to cool. Pour over vegetables in bowl. Stir gently to get all of the cucumbers, etc., covered. Cover with a lid and place in refrigerator. The syrup will pull the liquid out of the cucumbers and peppers, and they will shrink a bit. Allow to sit for a few hours or so, then scoop cucumbers, onions, and peppers in jars. Fill jars with remaining syrup to cover the vegetables. Put lids on jars and store in refrigerator up to 6 months, if they last that long! Yield: 5 to 6 pints. Alternatively, you can fill jars with the fresh vegetables, then ladle the syrup into the jars. This will require more pint jars. Up to 8 or 9. #CookingWithGeezerWench #homemade #easyrecipe (at Susquehanna Trails, Pennsylvania) https://www.instagram.com/p/CCgjTevgHoq/?igshid=11vh59pg2g9m1
Happiness is....getting to feed my family food from our backyard garden 🥰 Early this morning I took a quick walk around the garden and found a few pods of sugar peas and a piece of green bell pepper. It wasn't big enough to harvest, but silly me couldn't wait a week more 😄 I made vegetable stir-fry served over rice for breakfast 😋 I'm planting more #sugarpeas and #greenbellpeppers tomorrow! #homegrown #homegrownfood #growyourownfood #backyardfarming #homemaking #backyardgardener #gardeningkeepsmesober #sobermom #recoverywarrior https://www.instagram.com/p/B9b44sWn_Mj/?igshid=1tv18crf6j9xl
