My ‘free’ veg patch is coming along slowly. So, I've been banging on about trying to develop a green finger and grow some herbs and vegetable for myself to cut down on the grocery budget and keep the food costs down. I would love to say that I am a natural and the plants are just jumping out of their socks to show me what they can do. ; Unfortunately, what you see here is here in spite of me rather than because of me. This is my to-do pile. One shed down, one to go up.

I hate this mess, I feel crap about myself for not getting it sorted about 10 months ago.

For every nice photo of the garden there's a scene like this - an imposing pile of crap that I keep meaning to get round to fixing.

Still, even within this mess there are lillies from old bulbs which should've stopped years ago, there are insects living their best life, for now, and there's firewood which will make for a good barbeque soon too.
