my silly "i have taken these canon characters with very little info to them and made them my own" headcanon is that the Greengrass family breeds winged horses. maybe they organise or participate in races. or betting. honestly i dont really know much about horse politics i was just reading up on the various winged horse breeds one day and i was like i would like to see them all in one place. o..... a breeder........ and Horse Girl Daphne was born.
and you know, sometimes i flip flop on whether Astoria's illness comes later in life (well i think this is the canon explanation) or shes had a chronic illness since young (this ones just pure hc) but regardless, when she does suffer from her mysterious ailment... horse riding/flying could be a nice escape for her. i just thought of her malediction affecting her whole body since it has to do with blood so maybe pain and fatigue all over, at its base. she would probably have trouble walking for long periods of time. granted i know horse riding is not just sitting on the horse and letting it do all the work but. yeah. very random hcs
