We are very excited to share our progress with you. We’ve been so busy planting that we haven’t had time for pictures, but as you can see we’re all about the diversity and abundance 🌱 It’s not only feeding us but also giving back to the earth by enriching it with plant life and allowing it to thrive. We planted cassava to jump start mycelium growth as the roots rot, we planted Guinea grass (Panicun maximum) in rows between the plantains to use as green manure, we added tons of wood and leaves in rows to slow down water runoff and soil erosion, and we added hundreds of food bearing trees that are doing quite well. We haven’t lost one tree since are initial planting in June. We are taking gardening to the next level by creating these regenerative food systems that not only nourish us but also reduce fossil fuel use and carbon emissions, and create a real world example of living in harmony with the earth. Really can’t wait to see how much more this yard flourishes! We need to learn from this and replicate it in every community so that all of our communities can thrive with the abundance of nature ✊🏾🇭🇹 . #growninhaiti #agrinatif #regenerativefoodsystem #syntropicagroforestry #haiti #ayiti #biomass #greenmanure #beyondsustainable #ayisyenpouayiti #abundance #growth #organic #nogmos #nopesticides #noherbicides https://www.instagram.com/p/CibArpwOfB6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
