Great group of Water concerned leaders. As municipal leaders, we all understand the importance of water to our economy, our communities and our quality of life. A 20-year drought has reduced flows by 35 percent. Catastrophic fires that result in silt and ash clogging our reservoirs and deteriorating our water quality are expected to become more frequent and intense. It has been a weekend of high highs and low lows. It's been a week in 2 days. It started Saturday morning early supporting the Mesa Fire and Medical Department, Arizona Burn Foundation and American Red Cross Greater Phoenix Chapter for the Smoke Alarm Walk in Dobson Ranch. I rushed over to the Paul Penzone for Sherif featuring Phx Mayor Greg Stanton in Tempe, Arizona. The whole family then had a great time at the IDEA Museum for El puentecito in Mesa, Arizona listening to mariachi and ballet folklorico. Next was the OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates Greater Phoenix Chapter golf tournament in Scottsdale, Arizona with the Abaka Foundation kids. Scurrying over to Chandler, Arizona, we arrived just on time for the Women's Federation for World Peace USA Bridge of peace ceremony and HerStory Awards. I was honored to be amongst so many achieving women. I then walked for Mesa candidates and went to a Baptismo for little Mateo! Riancito hit his first piñata.
