Grant found emotional stability with Terry Jr.. When Grant is having a really bad mental health day, he spends time with Terry, who helps him work through the pain.

Terry finds support in Grant. If Terry is ever in danger during a mission, he can count on Grant to help pull him out.

After the events of season 2, they continue to support each other. Grant helps Terry find things to do with Scary to build their father-daughter relationship. Terry not only helps Grant fix his relationship with Lincoln, but helps make it stronger than ever.
