it’s hard to believe that it’s been over 4 YEARS now since you showed up in my inbox and we quickly became friends??? every year that passes it feels like it gets a little harder to think of things to say about you that haven’t been said before, but all i know is that you’re one of my favorite people in this whole fucking fandom—tbh in the world, period—and i know my life over these past few years would have been a lot less full without you. there’s that post about feeling lucky to have met someone because of how wild it is that one click or one moment could have changed everything, and that’s genuinely how i feel about you. who could have ever guessed that things would turn out the way they did when you showed up in my inbox that day, but i’m so fucking glad that they did and i can’t help but feel lucky that i get to know you, have you in my life, and call you my friend.

happy happy birthday to my fellow virgo bestie 🥰 i genuinely cannot express just how lucky i feel that i get to have you in my life. it regularly blows my mind just how creative and talented you are, how thoughtful and intelligent, how truly fucking hilarious, and how we seem to have so much in common despite being so different. you’ve been such a wonderful and supportive friend over these past few years—i can’t even tell you how many times the advice you’d given or the words you’ve said have been just what i needed to hear in that moment—and i hope that i’ve been and can continue to be even a fraction of that back to you. thank FUCK ray stopped gatekeeping us from each other cause i can’t (and don’t want to) imagine going thru this fandom experience, this current f1 spiral, or even just my life in general only hearing about you and what you’re saying second hand.

to preface, this was all started by me saying that i don't understand people that actively dislike daniel because to me he's objectively likable and there's nothing to dislike about him. they told me they could tell me exactly what there is to dislike about him but i probably wouldn't want to hear it, to which i doubled down because i genuinely couldn't think of a single thing they might say, and they responded with the following:

it’s been a little under a year since we went from ‘mutuals within each other’s orbit but never really speaking directly’ to now talking almost every single day in the groupchat, and i truly don’t think i can express just how much fun it’s been having that and getting to know you through it. a lot of the time, it feels like the three of us share one single braincell, whether it be the dumb jokes or the headcanons or the thirsting over an ever-increasing list of people or the sharing of a similar point of view on most fandom drama or even the almost-too-quick-for-comfort decent into seb (and m*rvel) madness. 

but more than that, i’ve seen up close and personal what a kind, thoughtful, intelligent person you are. how deeply you love and care about the people that are important to you. how you’ll stick to your guns and you’re never afraid to share your opinion, even if others disagree. how INSANELY talented and brilliant you are, especially when it comes to your writing. i could go on and on, and i don’t think i’m being dramatic when i say that you’re truly someone that i feel privileged to call a friend.

and since it’s your special day, i figure why not celebrate with a specially made gifset comprising of some of your favorites!!
