City Lights || Alex & Iluka

Other than the occasional event that piqued her interest, Iluka rarely traveled outside of Arcadia. She didn’t see the need to when the island treated her business and her and her sister well. It wasn’t home, obviously, but it was enough. Some years and she still wasn’t a fan of it, but her sister insisted that it would change with time. She was still waiting for that happen.

However, Leuda was hosting an event that made the trip seem worth it. City lights. The city was said to be decorated with hundred, maybe thousands, of lights that lit the streets and buildings in holiday colors. Being that she was a pretty big fan of the holidays and curious about how the city looked, she had planned a day to close the cafe early and travel to the neighboring town. And unfortunately since Siluka didn’t want to go, she would have to experience it alone. Or so she thought...

A few hours before she was set to leave, Iluka had gotten a message about the event from a number she started to wish she had never saved. The message went unanswered for some time while she thought if it was worth it. On one hand she wouldn’t be alone, on the other she was stuck with the one person that brought her trouble whenever he was around. What to do, what to do...

[ To: Idiot ] Fine. But only because I was planning to go and my sister changed her mind last minute.

She reluctantly sent the initial text and followed it with another with a meeting time at the Leudan docks. And once that time arrived, she was waiting at the meeting place. But not for long as she was a rather impatient woman.

Sam beamed as he walked through the gym doors, skateboard under his arm and a bag of gym clothes on his back. Alex had convinced him to come down and take a class. Of course, it didn’t take much convincing. He’d always wanted to gain muscle, just never had a way to do it back home.

“Sam has arrived, it’s time to meet Leuda’s next heavyweight.”

Broken Up Breakfast [Elli & Alex]

There had once been a point in Elli’s life where she truly believed everyone did what they did with the best intentions in mind. And then she met Alex. He swept her off her feet with a charming personality and a killer smile, and then shattered her heart. 

And yet... she still stuck around. She supposed someone ought to look after that numb skull. Make sure he didn’t hurt anyone else like he did her. Or at least try.

She still had a key to his apartment, even after the fling. Probably so they could have a quick fling, a quick make out, fade to black, and more every so often. Really, she just used it so she could make sure the guy was eating right every now at then.

And so here she was, on her day off, fixing her ex-boyfriend - could he even really be called that? - a nice hearty breakfast.

“Elli, you are way too nice...” she muttered to herself under her breath.

Flower Festival

[ ♥ ] — Ah, the Flower Festival... what a wondrous time, filled with love and happy feelings! Flowers weren’t too high on Felicity’s list of interests (of course, that applied to just about anything that wasn’t food), but she could appreciate their beauty, and the heartfelt sentiments attached to them.

So before she heads out to her evening shift at the restaurant, Felicity stops by City Hall to buy some flowers for a few friends, paying a courier to deliver them for her. Hopefully everyone would enjoy their gifts~

Un-ex-pected || Haley & Alex

Oh, Goddess.

Haley had come to the islands to get a fresh start, not expecting to know anyone beyond her sister. In the event that she ran into anyone from her past, she wanted to reconnect and apologize for the attitude she had back then.

But she wasn’t expecting to see him.

Of course he was at the park, running laps. Nothing ever kept him from working out for the majority of the day. His determination was part of what drew her to him in the first place; until he hardly made time for their relationship. Haley’s eye twitched, realizing that her kindness resolution would mean apologizing to her ex. 

It wasn’t fair; Alex had been just as horrible as her back then, if not worse! He should’ve been begging for forgiveness at her feet...

Shaking her head to chase away the negative thoughts, Haley approached Alex while he was taking a water break.

“Hello, Alex.” She tried to greet him in a polite, friendly tone--but couldn’t help but let a sliver of ice creep in around the edges.

TL;DR: Alex caused the island to turn to stone by touching the shiny thing that Iluka said he wasn’t allowed to touch. Iluka was mad but maybe a little less mad because Alex almost died saving her life. She tended to his wounds and they had… a moment.
