I fear we do not give enough credit to gris grimly’s Frankenstein graphic novel. It is the perfect adaptation for middle schoolers to read. The art fits the story, the text is more shorter but only to remove excess dialogue that they instead show with imagery and any nsfw entries, and it doesn’t remove any sense of queerness, horror, or possible gore, and elevates it instead. It is the perfect book adaptation. This is how I was introduced to Frankenstein, and it captivated me from the start.
