OMG at sub-districts I needed at least all 16s to move on and I got a 21, 22, and a 24 (out of 25!!!) We did amazing imo and i cant wait for districts!

so im in forensics and sub-districts are in a few days and im soo nervy but also really excited!! im in group interp and play acting btw!

Guess who advanced to final rounds at State!
Can't wait to see them rock The Fault in Our Stars once again. Begin preparing to cry at 8:30AM tomorrow morning starting...NOW!
Staaaaate!
I cried for most of the performance, because I knew what was going to happen. I held it together the best that I could, but...it wasn't just TFIOS. It was just feeling so incredibly proud of all of them, and wishing I could have been a part of it beyond an alum with a sister still in high school.
Their performance was absolutely beautiful. A lot had to be cut, obviously, to fit it into half an hour. Enough was left in the show to show Hazel and Augustus falling in love. And they may be in high school, with no "real, professional" training, but my Godric Gryffindor, the two playing Hazel and Augustus were better than most of the actors at my college.
Beyond that on TFIOS..."My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations."
I watched several shows today, though, not just my high school's. Another school did Toy Story, which was pretty awesome. I liked how accurately they depicted each character, but I think the directors could have done more with the story instead of being cute at the beginning and putting the Disney castle theme and Pixar lamp. But those aren't really the actor's choices.
Another show I saw was Tyranny on Trial: Stephenson vs. State. It was extremely intense, and shook up someone to the point of needing to be escorted out by some others after the show.
