I was thinking about Bakugou and Kirishima’s relationship in general, when I remembered during the Exam (Ch. 110, Rescue Maneuvers Continue) how Bakugou could judge the seriousness of the injuries of the actors but was too rude and Kirishima scolded him…AND THIS HAPPENED. Because, all considered, I think Kacchan would be a perfect grumpy doctor in another universe…it feels in character.

Imagine:
-First, we have Bakugou Katsuki, the emerging genius doctor. He is studying at the most prestigious university and is currently having his internship at the renewed All Might Hospital. He’s famous for having conducted an operation the first day of internship (The real doctor had fainted, but he was there and decided to take action) and saved a life. He’s brilliant, knowledgeable, acute, great observational skills and impeccable memory, has steady hands, never panics nor gets scared…but he has a horrible, gruff personality (like usual)
-His analyses are perfect and he learns fast, but he’s incapable to interact with the patients. Kids fear him, mothers hate him for making the children cry, men argue with him, teenagers flip him off (and he consequently smacks their heads) …grannies are the only ones who love him because he’s unexpectedly softer with them, even if he still has a foul mouth. And there are also some fangirls who think he’s hot (and they are right)
-He doesn’t care about being disliked, he’s used to it. He knows he’s the best at what he does, and saving lives doesn’t mean he has to be fucking sweet or nice.
-So, what to do with this genius, but grumpy, doctor? Let’s pair him up with the Sunshine Nurse!
-Kirishima Eijirou, nicknamed the Sunshine Male Nurse, is another student who’s having his internship at All Might Hospital. He would have liked to become a doctor but he wasn’t smart enough, nor he had enough money, so he’s chosen to try and be a male nurse. Thing is that he actually loves this job. He’s clumsy, goofy and gets lectured a lot but…everyone loves him. He never gets discouraged, he is always smiling and happy to spend time with the patients. All the kids want to play with him, mothers and grannies treat him as their own adoptive son, and men and granddads cheer on him or stop him for endless chats.
-At first, Bakugou wants to kill Kirishima. How is even possible that a brainless guy like him has been admitted to that hospital? And he’s noisy, annoying, always chatting and smiling, and he breaks a lot of things (pricey and fragile things), messes up…Kirishima is just too much for Bakugou. He’s used to be feared and doesn’t care if he’s hated: he doesn’t need his patients to like him to save their lives. He’s okay being on his own.
-But Kirishima is like the sun and you can’t escape him. The most astonishing thing is that he’s not scared at all of Bakugou, he even scolds him when he’s being rude or tactless. He chuckles or rolls his head when the blond hits him on the head, or threatens him with a wide variety of curses. Kirishima follows Bakugou everywhere, eats with him, asks him to study together for exams or to write reports and…
With time, Bakugou starts to notice things that make him change his mind: how Kirishima never lies to the patients, yet is always kind and makes the truth acceptable to them. How children look at him like he was a hero. How caring and attentive he can be, from the smallest gestures (like tucking the blankets properly or peeling mandarins for the grannies) to the important tasks of his work (injections, reports, the dose of medicines) …he’s good. Kirishima is good. Even if he’s clumsy, goofy and has a lot to learn, he’s the best male nurse Bakugou has ever worked with. Kirishima is suited to be a nurse.
-And, they work well together. They can synch, without even talking sometimes.
-On the other side, at first, Kirishima is shocked that the rumored doctor is such an asshole. Then, after just one day with him, all the admiration he had for Bakugou is restored. Kirishima is good at judging characters: under that explosive and hard exterior, the blond has the potential to be a great person and friend. And he really is the best (student training to be a) doctor Kirishima has ever seen; he’s what the boy would have liked to be. Just watching him work makes the nurse feeling excited. Therefore, Kirishima feels the need to stay with him to discover all the hidden sides of this complex being that is Bakugou Katsuki.
-And, also, the patients need protection from him: he can’t let Bakugou hit them when they’re being stubborn or childish for God’ sake! He’s such an unsociable dork without him.
-People start to notice that Bakugou can be a nice person around Kirishima, and they begin to like him. He’s startled by this change of heart, but Kirishima only laughs when mumbles about it. Soon, there’s a Bakushima/KiriBaku Protection Squad in the hospital that roots for them and spies their progress daily.
-Kirishima calms down Bakugou before operations even if he is fucking calm you shitty-hair! Or brings him coffee during night shifts. Or makes sure he remembers to eat. Well, he is the usual, supportive Kirishima.
-Bakugou makes bentos for both of them because he can’t stand a nurse not eating properly, it’s such a fucking disgrace. And proof-reads Kirishima’s homework, papers, projects, and reports. And takes half of the blame when Kirishima drops something/makes a mistake while they’re working together.
-Katsuki holds Kirishima tightly to his chest when they lose their first patient. He lets him cry his heart out and hold onto his shirt as he’s drowning. Katsuki never says to Kirishima, until late, that the only reason why he hasn’ cried was because the red-head was there, because he had felt the need to be strong for him. It becomes a ritual: when someone dies, they remain stoic and professional until they are alone; then, Katsuki hugs Eijirou and lets him cry until he’s ready to fight again.
-Kirishima accompanies Bakugou when he has to reveal serious illness to a patient or he has to talk with the families.
-Children begin to love Bakugou even if he still yells and shouts because they see Kirishima isn’t scared. Bakugou braids the hair of the girls because Kirishima sucks at it and he also decides to call them princesses because they smile so much when he does it that his cold heart melts a little.
-Kirishima swoons every time he sees Bakugou dealing with children.
-Kirishima has the pockets always full of candies and lollipops that he shares with children and everyone who seems to need some sweetness. When Bakugou is being moody or pouty, the nurse shoves into his mouth a cola lollipop to shut him up, and deals with people in his stead. This drives Bakugou crazy, and the worst thing is that he likes them.
-Kirishima goes with children to play in the park when he can, helps them drawing or reads fairy tales for them until they all fall asleep, and Bakugou has to go and wake him up.
-Kirishima starts to crash at Bakugou’s place because it’s nearer, there’s more space, and he has to make sure that his friend doesn’t overwork…But Bakugou, even if he complains and curses a lot, never really tries to throw him out.
-Bakugou nearly chokes the first time he sees Kirishima with his hair down, after a shower at his apartment.
-Bakugou discovers that outside the hospital Kirishima can’t stand the sight of blood and how’s that fucking possible?! But Kirishima explains to him that he doesn’t want a stupid fear gets in the way of his dreams and that it wouldn’t be manly if he fainted while working. Bakugou realizes how amazing he is. And hot. And worthy. Worthy of being his and only his and fuck he has a crush…
-Fat Gum is their supervisor and the one who had paired them together. He’s the most loved doctor at the All Might Hospital and the one who gave Kirishima the idea of the candies. Rumors say he’s the founder of the KiriBaku Protection Squad.
-Bakugou teases Kirishima and tells him he’s going to teach him how to do a cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Kirishima doesn’t understand at first and is all like “Cool man! But I already learn it at- Fuck!” and then blushes and stutters like crazy. Katsuki is satisfied with that.
That’s the moment when he decides to kiss Kirishima.
Kirishima is more than pleased.
-Bakugou and Kirishima wearing white coats are simply gorgeous. Let’s add some black glasses for Bakugou when he’s studying at home and I’m happy. Kiri is happy too.
