human behavior was so confusing. he'd made friends with soohyun in the summer, he was sure of it. yes, languages were still an obstacle, but they pushed through it. he liked soohyun because he didn't find that talking was absolutely necessary with him. they'd often just enjoy each other's company, go swimming in the lake or hang out in the allotments...

"hm," the confused huffie sighed softly, wondering if he'd missed something. maybe he'd done something by accident. or said something that wasn't right. 

of late, it seemed like soohyun was ignoring him? after christmas, well, soohyun steered clear of seb. didn't really say anything when seb had got him a christmas present. it made seb kinda upset, losing a friend and being unsure of what exactly he'd done. so, letter in hand, he headed towards the gryffindor common. plan was to scoot the letter under the male dorm and rush off to lessons (he was already late). it felt incredibly odd, sneaking around the place, late, when it was only the second day back.

tentatively, he whispered the password to a very confused portrait, and crawled into the red and seemingly empty common room.

{` a curse nearly tumbles past parted lips as she weaves past students in the hall, each step more of a stumble and her gaze downcast to focus on the open bag she's toting with her, digging around inside to search its contents. a trip to the library was in order, and she'd fully intended on doing her potions assignment while there, but her textbook is nowhere to be seen and instead she finds herself in panic mode. just as she whirls on her heels outside the library doors, planning to go back to the hufflepuff girls dorms to search for her missing book, a familiar face comes into view and she perks up, sucking in a sharp gasp and dropping the piece of parchment she'd been holding in favor of reaching out and instead grabbing the gryffindor boy's sleeve to stop him in his tracks} Soohyun! {` eyes wide and her best angelic smile spreading across her face, she lets him go to clasp her hands together in front of herself and coo out a plea, her demeanor just a litle saccharine in hopes he'll take pity on her} Sweetie, do you have your Potions book with you? I haven't started my assignment and I'm a little... unprepared. {` her expression falls a bit as she realizes her own understatement, and she goes on to confess} I actually have no idea what I'm doing, and I don't even have my book with me... can you help a girl out? {` never forgetting her manners, the smile returns and she sing-songs her next word} Pleaaaase?

Having skipped his class already that day, he makes his way down the rather empty hallways to where he knew his brother would be getting out of class soon. He leaned on the doorway outside of the classroom, glowering at anyone and everyone who glanced at him, stopping the questions before they could come, waiting for the period to end. A practiced eye caught sight of his brother, whom he quickly grabbed around the neck and dragged him away from his classmates, not sparing any explanation, and pulling him into a secluded area and casting Muffliato to ensure privacy for the talk he knew he had to give as he thrust a letter in the Gryffindor's face.

"The old man's in St. Mungo's," he practically spat at the other, waving the letter around in the air, eyes like daggers. "Alcohol poisoning, apparently. You're getting fucking updates on him? After everything he's fucking done to you?" Myungsoo's voice was lowered into a hiss, all the worry for Soohyun having translated easily into anger that appeared easily in his voice. "The letter says, and during your last visit too. Is there something wrong with you? Were you dropped on your fucking head?"

{ `/ catches sight of his brother ahead of him, running a little bit to try to catch up the younger boy, finally tapping him on the shoulder with a soft huff of breath } Soo!

[ `/ hears the footsteps fast approaching from behind him and whirls around at the last minute to glare at whoever was pursuing him ] What do you — oh, hyung. [ `/ his shoulders visibly relax from their tense position ] What do you want?
