The HT Holden Monaro GTS was released in June 1969 which included the introduction of the Monaro GTS 5.7 Litre 350ci Chevrolet V8 producing 300bhp/380lbft (224kw/515Nm), which was exclusive to the Monaro GTS. The HT GTS featured a new multi-louvred plastic grille with a raised centre section and Monaro black-outs, centre bonnet stripes with twin bonnet scoops, two section tail light, a blacked out tail panel, thicker side stripes and black sills. New colours introduced included Sebring Orange and Daytona Bronze. The console mounted tacho and strip speedo used on the previous HK model were replaced with a full circular mounted instruments. The bucket seats were more contoured and had optional houndstooth check cloth inserts.
