I just think it’s a really neat touch, being both enemy to all living creatures and yet still a guardian of humanity at the same time, and I think about this regularly.

The first panel has Oda Nobunaga (Archer class) on the floor dying and speaking to a shocked Okita Souji. The holy grail is floating in the middle of the panel.
Nobunaga states “Now, the grail has absorbed five servants. I’ll fill the last spot instead of Caster,” to which Okita exclaims “What!?”
The second panel shows Nobunaga disappearing, with the holy grail on fire and Okita having turned to face Nobunaga.
Nobunaga’s final words spoken are “Don’t ask why I’m not using it myself. Do whatever you wish with it Hitokiri-” to which Okita questions “What are you doing Archer-”
