My two and a half year streak is over - I caught COVID.
I'm nothing if not prepared, however.
Will Unit Eight ever open recruitment again? Asking for a friend...
I’ve been sitting on this one for a week or two, contemplated just deleting it a few times. Sorry anon.
It’s something I’ve been considering for a little while now, it’s also a topic that sort of gets me down a bit, as a few friends have noticed when we talk about it. Our numbers are definitely slim right at the moment, with people loosing interest in BfA or moving to Moon Guard.
I’m just incredibly skeptical as the last time I opened recruitment things got out of hand and problems seemed to multiply daily. For a while after that and the purge that followed I kept recruitment strictly IC and in RP, getting a feel for potential recruits before bringing them aboard. But that method requires there to be people around, and have a desire to RP in game.
I aim for quality over quantity.
But it also became increasingly difficult to find people who were willing to invest the time and effort, not just show up hoping to stab everything in sight. All actions have consequences, and that was hard for some to understand. If you kill half a doze people on a mission that was labeled non-lethal, then there’s going to be some level of discipline for the character.
I can’t really answer this question, anon, because I don’t know. Maybe? Maybe not?

Dear Ealyonn [ELYN]
October 2nd was the 4th anniversary of our guild!
It’s been a heck of a ride I gotta say. From recruiting you all, all the way to experiencing the hype of both expansions.
And then we met in May in my home state. That was the best week of my life and it felt like we had been together our whole lives.
And since the expansion we have new friends who have felt like they’ve been here this whole time.
You guys are the best, honestly. I was trying to think of more stuff to say in this whole thing but words seem to be escaping me now.
To my guild, my friends, my family. I love you guys. @mordremom @kevin-the-reef-drake @guildwurst @thecalmissar @zexmawolf @cjthebigbear @catmander @ironmarches @lukesoligo and Freud!
Sincerely, your Captain
Turns out he wanted to thank me for keeping the guild going when he was burned out during Legion WoD I dunno some fel-infested xpac. He’s so bad at interpersonal communication.
Whoever posted the petition to bring back the Ides of March, while the enthusiasm is appreciated, the Guild already has an official policy against reviving the dead for revenge purposes.
